A Day in the Life of a Practice Owner 💚
Every day looks a little different when you're running a group mental health practice. Here's a glimpse into one day with our owner, Meegan:
• 6:30- 7:00 AM – Wake up ☀️
• 8:00 AM – Get ready, morning walk with Ollie 🐶, and breakfast
• 9:30 AM – Coffee first ☕ , head into office 🛋️
• 10:00 AM – Emails & admin work and a visit with our therapy dog , Gatsby 🐾
• 11:00 AM–1:00 PM – Client sessions 💚
• 1:00 PM – Weekly check in with our Practice Manager
• 1:30 PM – Documentation, marketing, social media, event planning, and more emails 💻
• 3:00 PM – Head home, lunch break & playtime with Ollie 🌿
• 3:30 PM – Reviewing financials and bonus structures, trying to figure out how to compensate our employees more 💵
• 5:00 PM – Solving unexpected issues, brainstorming/planning, business development, prep for tomorrow's meetings 📝
• 7:00 PM – Taco Mama for dinner 🌮
• 8:00 PM – Evening walk with Ollie and husband ❤️
• 9:00 PM – While she wishes she could say reading, she actually is unwinding with her fav trash tv shows 📺
• 10:30 PM – Bed 😴
And the to do list? It's never really finished, it will still be there tomorrow including...
• Office projects, like fixing a couch
• Organizational planning
• Team support
• And whatever unexpected challenge pops up the next day 😊
Owning a practice means wearing a lot of hats. Some days are filled with meetings, others are leadership, marketing, finances, or just problem solving and (trying to) plan ahead. No two days are ever the same, but every day is centered around one goal: creating a place where both our clients and clinicians feel supported. 🤍
