My name is Lori Miggins (aka - The Organized Mom) and I am an "early retired” (ok I resigned when I had a baby) Special Education teacher, wife to an incredibly hard-working man, and a mommy of three beautif

ul children, oh yeah, and I'm over 40! From the time I was a little girl, I knew I wanted to be a MOMMY. It was dream to just stay home and be with my kids from day ONE. I also wanted to be a teacher, my love for children started early on in my life, so that’s what I set out to do! I taught for 9 years before I had my first baby and pretty much from the minute I fell in love with her, I couldn’t go back to work! After my 3rd child was born, I began to feel like I had no control over my health & fitness and I was struggling with GRIEF from losing my father suddenly. The stress and anxiety took over, and I was completely unfulfilled. I felt like I needed to do something for me. I wanted to gain control of me again and a little voice inside of me always told me to do something to contribute to this family, but I just didn’t know what that was. I still wanted to be able to stay at home with my kids, but I needed to figure out a way to do it all. So I joined a challenge group to give myself some me time and see if I could gain control of my health and fitness. Little did I know that the choice I would soon make would literally CHANGE my life in so many ways and I would be dealing with GRIEF yet again, from losing my mother. By simply taking care of me first, my grief is under control. With the proper support, nutrition and fitness tips, I am in control of me and now I am helping others do the same. I was certainly not looking for this or for Beachbody coaching, but it definitely found me! I have gone from being stay at home mom, to a Star Diamond Fitness Coach with Beachbody, a health & fitness company that has helped me take control of my health and fitness and find ME again! It helped me gain my confidence back, it gave me freedom that I never had before, and helped me find a PASSION that I didn’t know existed. And now I have a place to share my story and help others to change THEIR lives for the better! Today, I spend my time working from home, connecting with new people, and investing in amazing relationships with the people I work with…..my FRAMILY. And I do this all while not missing a moment with my three beautiful children. Exactly what I have always dreamt of…...living out my passions, but not missing a moment with my family! I now get to help others find their potential, live out their dreams and gain their confidence back too! I believe that every person deserves to LIVE a happy and healthy, FULFILLED life! 🌿 My Go-To Morning Routine for Faster Fat Loss as a 49 yr old (even on vacation 😆) + 2 extra!

I didn’t need another restart. I needed a reset of my habits!

In my mid-late 40s, I was doing everything that used to work…
and my body just stopped responding.

More tired.
More frustrated.
Starting over again and again. Perimenopause changed the rules and no one warns you.
This isn’t about pushing harder or restricting more.
It’s about working with your body again, especially your cortisol.

Even here on vacation, I’m keeping it simple… and it’s everything 👇

1️⃣ Hydrate first thing (lemon + sea salt water) 🍋💦🧂
Balances blood sugar, supports digestion, hydration, keeps morning cortisol steady… and yes, helps you 💩

2️⃣ High-protein, GLP-1–friendly breakfast
No skipping. (eggs, guac, veggies, fruit + a healthy carb.)
Keeps cortisol steady + energy up.

I’m not saying “I know know” this helps with inflammation, low energy, sudden weight gain, and that drop in s*x drive during perimenopause…

…but I know. 😉

Because when you start supporting your body the right way (not just guessing, not just doing random things) everything starts to shift.

For the last decade, I’ve had a quiet ritual.

For those that don’t know this about me, I always tell Starbucks my name is Maureen, my mom’s name. (I saved it in my app this way now too!) She’s been gone for over a decade, but this is something I’ve done for years now.

My mom and I used to grab Starbucks together all the time, (especially on those “don’t really need to get anything” trips to target or homegoods or basically anywhere so now her name even lives on my account because everything is digital.

And when they call it out, I pause.

Hearing her name outside of my own thoughts just hits different. I love it. It brings me right back to those moments, coffee (or a chai or a matcha), together. With her even though she’s not here.

She’s not here physically, but she’s still part of my everyday life in ways like this. A simple coffee.

And honestly, I do this for my kids too. It keeps her alive for them. They’ve even do it now too.

If grief feels heavy, it might be because you’re not letting yourself go there. The smallest things like this can actually help.

Grief changes, but love doesn’t 🤍
