Burnout Burnout Burnout!!!

We have to move beyond the belief that we should do it all, do it perfectly, and do it quietly.

The first step is acknowledging when we’re burned out or when life feels heavy. The next step is allowing ourselves to find support and build community around those struggles.

Life doesn’t stop. Hard things still have to be done. Responsibilities remain.

But we were never meant to carry it all alone.

Sometimes healing begins not by doing less, but by letting others help carry the weight. ❤️

A chance meeting. “gotta check my MySpace” 🤣

A mutual friend’s beach wedding where the banter began.

A late-night conversation under the stars.

And a tropical storm that showed up on our wedding day. ❤️

Ten years later, what started as a few unforgettable moments has become one of my favorite stories.

On our wedding day, dark clouds rolled in, the rain came down, and what could have felt like a disaster became one of our favorite memories. We laughed, ran for cover, and celebrated surrounded by the people we loved most.

It’s funny how life works. So often the moments we don’t plan for become the ones we treasure the most.

Sometimes the best parts of life aren’t found in perfect plans, but in how we learn to embrace the unexpected together.

Ten years later, I’m grateful for every chapter the unexpected, the beautiful, the challenging, and the joyful.

Happy 10th Anniversary to my favorite adventure partner. ❤️

Here’s to the memories we’ve made and the many still waiting ahead. ✨

Children don’t just want to be entertained, they want to be included.
They want to help, to contribute, and to feel like they matter in the everyday moments of family life.

Research shows that when children are given opportunities to participate, it supports confidence, emotional regulation, and a sense of belonging. These small moments, helping clean, carrying items, being part of the process are building independence, connection, and resilience.

What may look like slowing things down is actually strengthening your child’s nervous system and emotional development.

Let them help. It matters more than you think.

Ever feel like your mind won’t stop spinning over things you can’t control?

Try this: “Put it in the box.”

When a stressor comes up that you cannot act on right now,
a conversation, a situation, a “what if”,
mentally place it in a box and set it on a shelf.

You’re not ignoring it.
You’re not avoiding it.
You’re simply choosing not to carry it in this moment.

This is a simple nervous system tool to help reduce overwhelm, mental load, and emotional burnout, especially for women who are used to holding everything at once.

You can come back to it later…
but right now, you don’t have to carry it.
