Let’s talk about Navicular syndrome in horses.
Navicular is a degenerative and chronic problem that affects the backside of the front hooves.
The navicular bone, navicular bursa and the deep digital flexor tendon are all compromised by navicular.
💥What are the signs of navicular? If you notice a short choppy stride, if they are landing toe first instead of heel first, and stumbling often with exercise or even just walking.
Navicular isn’t curable, but we can use PEMF treatments to diminish inflammation in the deep digital flexor tendon and in the tissue surrounding the navicular bone. Treatments will help prolong your horses soundness and help keep them comfortable.
