Meet MAYA. 😍

Many of you already have.

She’s the warm and beautiful soul who has been greeting you, supporting you and generally holding Haji down while I’ve been navigating a very challenging season of life.

You’ll be seeing a lot more of Maya in the coming months as I step back from much of the daily operations to care for myself and be as present as I can be for my father who is very ill.

I thank the SOURCE CREATOR of all there is every 👏🏽day 👏🏽 for bringing me a genuine, caring and capable person who I can trust implicitly with this community.

In fact, I am surrounded by people who are rising up and offering support in this time. Among them is my sister Assata. We have known each other since high school. She is a beautiful fashionista with a heart of gold and her care shows up as flowers, regular check-in texts, calls and pop-ups. In this season she’s become an on call Salon Attendant that I can always count on.

I must also mention and bow deeply to the Haji intern and Yoga Teacher Rhya, who supports the A-Z Apothecary series and helps out on Saturdays and as needed.

Without these women, Haji would be CLOSED as I just cannot hold all the things and remain upright anymore.

Please continue to shop, sip + sit, to move, breathe + be, to heal, rise + expand with us. Your continued support means we can keep the light burning in this lighthouse and keep the healing going.

This intimate experience invites a small number of folks to learn how to use plants, herbs, oils and botanicals to craft their own incense.

We’ll kiki with Lavva as she guides us in mixing, rolling and shaping 4 different types of aromatics. Then we’ll circle up
for a magical sound healing experience featuring instrumentation and voice.

By the end of the night you’ll be floating out of the space with your own hand- made, blessed and beautifully unique aromatic incense to charge your daily rituals! ✨

Haji Healing Salon is my heart offering to my community and these divine spaces have been lovingly curated for YOU. The practitioners have been chosen for their devotion to their practices, community and their alignment with Source.

No pretense. No judgement. No competitive vibes. Just humans BEING and doing their best to answer the call of SPIRIT.

Well, you can wake up to this goodness any time, and join us Saturday mornings.

This Saturday it’s all about BUTTERFLY PEA FLOWER. We’re moving on down the line and learning about a new herbal ally each week. We honor the spirit of the plants by meeting them with reverence. We open all of our senses and let these plants speak to our hearts. Then we listen deeply for what wants to be shared.

This is a heart offering from me (Aya) to my community. Reservations are required.
You’ll pay an $8 reservation fee, show up get the goodness AND take 10% off herbs on the day of the class. Cuz I love y’all and these plants SO MUCH! 🙏🏽💗🙏🏽

Spring is near and we are welcoming the Equinox with a whole day of specially curated community ritual and ceremony.
It’s a choose your own adventure kinda Equinox.

Because this Fire Horse year did not come to play, it’s time to align with the greatest version of ourselves and be on purpose about these lives we are living. Join us for an energizing day or a grounding night of devotional practices.

DAY ☀️ Shake off the winter doldrums as
you step out of the darkness and UNFURL toward lighter, brighter days ahead.

On Friday March 20th from 9am-2pm retreat with us at HAJI to ritually activate your highest self with a devoted practice of 108 Sun Salutations (Yoga Mala). Lovingly paced with periods of rest and guided by the Haji Yoga Tribe: You got this! Set your own personal goal to honor your capacity and know we’ll always encourage you to prioritize self care. We’ll also be sharing some supportive content on IG leading up
to our practice. Trust- you will be HELD. 💞

Post Mala we’ll move into meditation,
guided by celebrated meditation teacher Mila Marshall . The practice will culminate in a METTA meditation for developing greater compassion + loving kindness. 🙏🏽

We’ll share a nourishing vegetarian (catered) meal, with herbal tea pairings. Because the apothecary will be closed for our special event, folks can linger and enjoy resting, reflecting or shopping in the space.

NIGHT 🌚 On the evening of the equinox we’ll step into a circle of tradition to experience our first authentic Mayan Cacao Ceremony! Since Cacao is one of my personal allies and my Spirit immediately recognized Ricardo as a brother on the path, this ceremony feels beautifully aligned. Facilitated by beloveds Ricardo and Gaby
of this evening promises to deliver power and purpose through this potent medicine.

“Despierta Rostronawal is a living, pulsating path that abides in sacred communion with the forces of existence that permeate and bestow the primordial breath and nourishment of the Self.” By facilitating Cacao ceremonies across Chicago Ricardo intends to support a collective awakening.
