Not every thought is an invitation. 🕊️
This morning during my meditation, I was reminded of something so simple but powerful…
If you see an eagle flying overhead, you probably don’t think:
“I need to follow it.”
“I need to become it.”
“I need to figure out why it’s here.”
“I need to chase it.”
You simply notice:
There’s an eagle.
And then you let it continue on its way.
But with our thoughts?
We do something very different.
A thought flies by…
“I’m falling behind.”
“I should be doing more.”
“I’m disappointing everyone.”
“What if something goes wrong?”
…and suddenly we grab onto it.
We follow it.
We build a whole story around where it’s going.
One of the most powerful things we can learn is the observer technique:
✨ Notice the thought.
✨ Name the feeling.
✨ Decide if you actually want to join it.
Because a thought passing through your mind is not always a truth.
It’s a clue.
And learning how to notice the clues before they turn into overwhelm is exactly why I created Before Burnout: Your Confidential Case File.
It helps you step back, observe your patterns, and recognize the early signs your mind and body are asking for support.
Your thoughts can fly by.
You don’t always have to follow them. 🤍
