Hello everyone! Sorry for the absence of updates on this page but we have current updates for you.

On April 20th 2023, Krista was admitted to the hospital to receive her new Kidney! On April 21st 2023, Krista went into surgery which was a success! She now has her new kidney but due to unforeseen circumstances with her antirejection medication not working as it should, she has been admitted to the hospital once more as of August 8th, 2023 due to an infection of the mouth.
The doctors and nurses recently took a graft of her lip where the infection had spread and we are now waiting the results to see what infection is present.
We ask you to keep Krista in your prayers as always! Thank you all for your love and support! We will update you again soon!

Update for January 30th, 2023

Krista went to the hospital this morning and spent most of her day getting her access opened to receive dialysis treatment. Prior to today, over the weekend the blow flow had stopped going to the arm. Krista has now be admitted to the ER because the procedure is not working properly as it should be.
We are still in search of a living kidney donor that lives in Illinois. If you have any questions regarding that, please send us a message via inbox to this page.

I would like to personally thank all my friends, family and coworkers for their continued support and love thats has been shown towards me and my family throughout this extremely tough time in my life. A few weeks ago actually marked my 1st yr on dialysis. Over this time i have learned alot about myself and my condition, and im still learning. I have had a few okay moments and some really depressing moments. Usually i try to stay as positive about my situation as possible but i cant lie my condition makes me feel so down at times. Im truly blessed to have the support system i have and the ability to still have a job that understands. Im still looking for a living donor (living in the US ), i have had a few people start the process to donate but not follow through…which is fine as well. 💙

❗update

On April 6th i met with a neurologist regard a MRI i completed some time ago. On that MRI they found a small aneurysm on the right side of my brain. After this visit that DR consulted with a team of neurosurgeons so discuss if they will need to “coil” the aneurysm or just monitor it. They all agreed treatment for the aneurysm would be best. So May 5th is when im scheduled for surgery. From what i have found people with the same kidney conditions have also found out they had also found aneurysms as well. Also with all of this i have been dealing with some memory fog and along with trouble sleeping some days are worse then others. I still try and stick to my normal routines. Even though some days are harder then other im determined to make it though. Still open to anyone who would like to complete the work up to be a living donor. I appreciate everyone for all the love and support throughout this extremely difficult time in my life 💙
