We see and support the woman beyond her diagnosis, because healing doesn’t end when treatment ends. The mission of Livin' of Thru the Lenz NFP is to bridge the racial disparity gap in cancer outcomes that disproportionately affect black and brown women. Our approach centers on photo-based therapy designed to uplift, support, and empower these women throughout their breast cancer healing journey.

Introducing: A Moment Through My Lenz

This series offers honest reflections on the things people may not consider when speaking with a breast cancer survivor.

Words are often shared with the best intentions, to comfort, connect, or fill an uncomfortable silence. But sometimes, those words can unintentionally add fear or emotional weight to an already difficult journey filled with appointments, scans, and uncertainty.

You don’t have to understand everything or find the perfect words. Sometimes, silence truly is golden. Simply sitting with someone, listening, and being present can mean more than you’ll ever know.

Through A Moment Through My Lenz, I hope we can learn how to support survivors with greater care, compassion, and understanding, one moment at a time.
