In our most recent post we introduced Thy Gifted Neighbor’s involvement in ANPA (Association of Nigerian Physicians in the Americas). Today we share activities TGN’s founder and president presented and discussed among members across all levels in medicine.

In our first few photos, TGN’s president and founder engaged in an exercise geared towards high school students interested in entering medicine. He also discusses future planning and gave advice on starting your medical journey.

Our following photos show TGN’s president and founder co-paneling with his topic of “Leveraging networking for leadership and fulfillment.” This was given to students ranging from undergraduate all the way to medical residents.

Other talks on how to be a competitive resident applicant were given throughout the conference, with this assuring all levels of medically related students were addressed and given advice on how to maximize their fullest potential on their medical journey.

Matching into residency is a tremendous milestone after years of dedication, sacrifice, and perseverance. It’s inspiring to see so many talented future physicians take the next step in their journey. Wishing you success as you begin residency and continue to grow in service to your patients and communities. 🌍💙

For those who did not match today, please know that you are not alone and that this moment does not define your potential as a physician. Many outstanding doctors have faced this setback and gone on to build meaningful and impactful careers. Your journey is still unfolding. 🌱

For residency applicants, this week can bring a mix of excitement, anticipation, and uncertainty. After years of hard work, everything comes down to a few important days.

To help applicants prepare, TGN had the opportunity to collaborate with the Education Committee of the Association of Nigerian Physicians in the Americas (ANPA) to host a webinar covering:

✅ SOAP explained + strategies for navigating the week
