Allow me to introduce you to “Squirt”, my lemon I’d been growing over this past year. She was harvested yesterday and weighs an impressive 10.1 ounces (287 grams). I’ve posted several pictures of her for reference to her size. I must admit, I’m feeing quite accomplished, as this is my first time growing lemons.

I’m not sure how I’ll use her just yet, but I’m open to suggestions.

Now more than ever, I look forward to someday owning a farm with many acres (and lemon trees). Until that time comes, I’ll use the blessing of the space I have and will continue to grow food in my living room 😉

Winter backyard chickens. We’re experiencing single digit weather, but all is well with the hens. 🙂

Bath time with Sofia. She’s been walking funny. I think she’s either egg bound or injured. Giving her vitamins B, E, selenium, epsom salt baths and 1/2 baby aspirin to feel better. She seems happy.
