Tomorrow is the next Yart Sale: YARTCADE at the Heart of Northside! Stop by the gymatorium at 4222 Hamilton Ave. 4-8pm for this celebration of all things local and handmade!

There will be artists and crafters selling their wares, costume contest, a raffle, sweet treats from Red Tree Coffee and Art and much more!

Don't forget to bring some goods for CAINCincy next door. Needed items include noodle cups, protein bars, socks and gloves, nonperishable food items, and hygiene products.

There's so much coming up at the Heart of Northside! Here's just a brief summary so you can start making some plans.

The next Yart Sale: YARTCADE is Sat 17 Oct. Are you as obsessed with these events as we are? 😊

Moonrise Music Hall is returning on Thu 22 Oct with Kylee Phillips and Chris Dupont, together as DuPont Phillips. Please head to Moonrise Music Hall for details and to reserve your tickets ASAP!

We're getting into the spirit of the spooky season! Our sanctuary is getting a makeover in time for Halloween. Stay tuned!

You heard it here first: we're planning a fundraiser to help support our mission! Please save the date for Wed 18 Nov at 6pm, and get ready for a special plant-based dinner prepared by a guest chef, w**e pairings and an appearance by our rooftop garden designer!

This summer's cooking classes were so popular that we're working on a possible round 2. Would you want to participate? What are you most interested in learning?

Super proud to provide a performance space to the Urban Native Collective and its annual Indigenous Peoples’ Day Convergence! Stop by tomorrow night (right after the Cincinnati Vintage Fest!) for a celebration of Indigenous expression, grounded in an "Indigenized" punk aesthetic.

Doors open at 7:45pm at 4222 Hamilton Ave. for an evening of live music featuring 1876, Lo Cash Ninas, and Jay Hill & Roberto! This is a FREE event open to the public!

The Indigenous Peoples’ Day Convergence begins today at the Contemporary Arts Center and culminates on Monday at Hoffner Park. Please head to https://urbannativecollective.org/ipdc for all the details!

This Saturday, the gymatorium will be transformed into the Cincinnati Vintage Fest! This event is so much fun and brings together over 40 vendors selling vintage clothes, records, books, home goods, art, jewelry, and "weirdo stuff galore!"

The event takes place noon-5pm at 4222 Hamilton Ave., but opens at 11am for all you early birds!

Tickets sold at the door ONLY:
11am early bird $10
12pm-5pm general $5

Psst, are you looking for a low-cost, flexible venue for your next event? Our gymatorium is a shape-shifting workhorse of a space that can accommodate many needs! With our main commercial kitchen located across the hall, it’s great for large gatherings and receptions. This large space can hold 412 standing or 319 seated guests.

Neighbors, here's something really exciting: Melt Revival now has a new dish its menu that features some of our own produce!

Inspired by the Mediterranean diet, Buddha's Heart is a heart-healthy dish that designed to nourish your body and soul while taking full advantage of the freshest seasonal produce grown by us and in the restaurant's own garden. The specific ingredients will occasionally change, depending on what's in season.

For the past few months, we've been learning to grow at scale, utilizing grow towers in our basement and experimenting with different veggies and grow methods. We're grateful to Melt Revival for working with us to set up a small-scale distribution chain as we learn the ropes of urban farming to support community health.

Dr. Rothenberg has been working as a cardiologist in Cincinnati since 2006 and taking care of the former North Presbyterian Church since 2022.

This building was selected after a city-wide search for the perfect location for the Heart of Northside. It needed to be centrally located, easily accessible, in a community that could really use these resources, and it needed a big, flat roof.

The plan is to add structural reinforcements and cover it with a rooftop garden and solar panels. The produce will be harvested and used in our teaching kitchen, to help our neighbors learn to grow and cook delicious, healthy, plant-based meals, and the resulting dishes can be served at events hosted in our space. All of the parts will work together to support community health!

The former church is an anchor on Hamilton Ave. and continues to serve the community as a venue for weddings, lectures, concerts, and other events. Event booking fees help to offset the costs of maintaining the building, and help support our mission of a heart-healthy Northside.

Look at all these smiling faces!

This summer, the Osher Center for Integrative Health at the University of Cincinnati collaborated with the Turner Farm on the Food as Medicine series, and Dr. Rothenberg was invited to discuss the evidence-based recommendations for eating for heart health as well as her vision for the Heart of Northside!

Blake Larson, Turner Farm's Executive Chef, helped everyone create a delicious, heart-healthy meal with farm-fresh ingredients: cannellini bean salad with pan seared salmon, followed by her corn ice cream!

Thank you to everyone who was involved in this series, and a special thanks to Chef Blake for the delicious food we all enjoyed!
