Neighbors, the Art in Action fundraiser takes place 6-8pm on Wed 17 Jun at the Millcroft Gallery in Milford! If you love art and support our mission, we hope you'll attend and consider making a purchase.

Special thanks to artists Cedric Michael Cox and Paul Kroner for their original contributions inspired by the Heart of Northside and its mission!

If any of Cedric's or Paul's pieces sell at tomorrow night's fundraiser, the Heart of Northside will receive double the donations thanks to a matching fund from Millcroft Gallery owners, Jennifer and Mark Stuhlreyer.

There is also a chance for us to be the recipient of that evening's raffle!

Art in Action is designed to elevate the impact of art and artists can have on our community. The show accomplishes this by bringing the stories of local cause based nonprofits to life through artistic expression while creating an opportunity to raise funds for those nonprofits. The artists select a local nonprofit and provide artwork. This show also gives participating nonprofits access to new socially minded patrons.

The show goes over a 2 month period and is hosted by Millcroft Gallery and Off Ludlow Gallery. Art in Action has 25 artists supporting numerous nonprofits, including the Heart of Northside.

Northside Greenspace Inc. is trying something new this year, and I’m so excited to be a part of it! The organization’s next community walk will be a mellow route through the side streets of Northside, viewing front yards and gardens that feature native plants and chatting with their owners, with an optional social hour after the walk.

Doesn’t that sound amazing? We’ll get to meet some of our neighbors and learn about their plants and the critters they attract!

This event will begin at noon on Sun 14 Jun, meeting right at the Heart of Northside, 4222 Hamilton Ave. (Free parking available in our back lot, and restrooms available as well!)

Thanks to everyone who attended the opening reception for Art in Action at the Millcroft Gallery Friday night, especially to artists Cedric Michael Cox and Paul Kroner for their original contributions inspired by the Heart of Northside and its mission!

The next Art in Action event will be the Art in Action Nonprofit Fundraiser at the Millcroft Gallery 6-9pm on Thursday 17 Jun. Jennifer and Mark Stuhlreyer, owners of Millcroft Gallery, will be generously matching donations for every piece of artwork sold at the fundraising event that night!

This has been an incredible experience so far, meeting artists, nonprofit leaders and area arts patrons. I am energized! I look forward to the 17th and hope that you can join me!

Neighbors, Groundwork Ohio River Valley is hosting a car wash fundraiser right now in the Heart of Northside parking lot! Please stop by before 2pm to get your car washed for only $10 while supporting a great cause!

We are located at 4222 Hamilton Ave. Enter the parking lot via Hobart St.

Groundwork Ohio River Valley is an environmental nonprofit organization dedicated to the restoration of the urban ecosystem through training the next generation of stewards.

Special thanks to Hamilton County Commissioner Denise Driehaus and her team for touring the Heart of Northside this week! This was a great opportunity to demonstrate the work being accomplished with a variety of partners, and to discuss potential next steps for strategic, mission-centered growth.

Neighbors, if you heard the bell ring over and over and over again, that was us! The group couldn’t get enough of the analog thrill of ringing a 19th century bell! 😂
