KGI CPNP The formation of CPNP was the culmination of efforts of many pharmacists practicing in the psychiatry and neurology specialties over the past 30 years.

The College of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacists (CPNP) was founded on March 24, 1998 when the network of pharmacists formerly known as the Conference of Psychiatric and Neurologic Pharmacists became a professional society. CPNP has continued to evolve and grow and has increased membership to over 2,100 individuals.

This month, the KGI AAPP Chapter is sharing information on su***de prevention, warning signs, and crisis support resources.

Knowing the warning signs and knowing where to turn for help can make a difference. Let’s continue to check in on one another, reduce stigma, and remind those around us that they are not alone.

A huge thank you to all of our amazing volunteers who came out to the Start Here event at The Claremont Colleges! 💚

It was an incredibly successful day of educating and engaging with our community about opioid overdose prevention and the importance of harm reduction. Through the distribution of naloxone (Narcan) and education on overdose recognition and prevention, we were able to make a meaningful impact in our community.

Thank you to everyone who came out this week for our Health Fair Training!

We had the amazing opportunity to collaborate with APHA X CPHA to host a health fair training for our pharmacy students. It was such a meaningful experience to teach and empower future pharmacists with the knowledge and skills to administer Narcan, prevent opioid overdoses, and raise awareness about opioid-related health and safety.

Before November ends, we’re grateful for the opportunity to table at two meaningful events! AAPP distributed naloxone and advocated for mental health at NAMIWalks at Angel Stadium in Orange County. We also supported our school at the Bee Kind to Your Mind event, where we provided more naloxone to our college community and promoted mental health awareness, holistic wellness, and prioritizing self-care for long-term academic and personal balance. 🐝🧠🧡

Come join us for a day of walking, community, and impact 💪 — help us counsel on proper naloxone use and distribute free naloxone kits to the public!
