It has been so much fun creating a tea blend specially for an event, and even more so one that this sweet girl is a part of. I love that she wants to learn about what I'm doing still at 14 years old. I hope every day that she will use the things she learns throughout her life. I hope that for all our kiddos! SolFest is happening at the Sautee Center in Sautee Nacoochee this weekend. Washing mullien leaves to dry for tea, and my girl wants to learn. There's nothing better than sharing my passion for herbal medicine with my kids, and it brings me so much joy that one of them really wants to learn about these things. I hope that in sharing what she's learning, you can learn too. Mullien is a power house plant. You should definitely take the time to learn more about it. 🌿✨️💚

My precious 9 year old niece wants to be like her big cousin and make videos for me!! Sweet girl always gets here and goes to find a blueberry, a blackberry, a strawberry, a piece of mint to chew on, etc. She's a wild one like her auntie, and I'm so blessed to have her and all of our littles to play in the dirt with!! 🌿✨️💚

I had so much fun with my daughter and her friends gathering beautyberry leaves for my bugspray. We gather, with permission, at the Sautee Nacoochee Center every year. I love this community so much. When she mentions "Midsummer," she means the centers outdoor performance of "A Midsummer Nights Dream," which she is in again this year. The Sautee Center is a fabulous place to meet others that care about history, native plants, natural remedies, and all a multitude of arts and handcrafts!! 💚✨️🌿

You can absolutely gather your own salad for dinner!! More flavorful and nutritious than anything you can buy for sure!! I am so loving that my girl is learning so much and staying interested enough to keep asking!! 🌿✨️💚

Honeysuckle is one of those plants that takes me back to childhood and brings me joy in every way. On my journey to learn about our plant allies, I have been so excited to find medicine in some of my dearest old friends. She still makes my heart leap to smell her, and that first blossom to hit my tongue each year still makes me feel the same happiness I did as a little girl. It's hard sometimes to find herbal medicine that our kids won't fuss about, but plants like honeysuckle make that much easier. I do hope I find the time to gather enough for jelly this year. It may not be health food per se, but a bit of honeysuckle jelly eaten in the dead of winter is definitely medicine for the heart. 🌿✨️💚

Y'all, this is so fun!! I love how much she wants to learn, and she's asking such great questions!! Wild onions are prolific here and can be found everywhere. I love making our onion powder from them. It's a much more nutrient rich seasoning than anything you can buy in the store! 🧅✨️💚
