Co-founder and T1D Nick Jonas was honored with the 2017 HERO AWARD from Radio Disney for his philanthropic work in the Type 1 diabetes world. One week to go! ✨

Our family is incredibly honored to serve as the Fund A Cure Family for the 2026 Breakthrough T1D Northern Ohio Promise Ball next Saturday, May 16th at the beautiful Cleveland Museum of Art. This night means so much to us—not just because of Isa’s T1D journey, but because of the hope, progress, and community that continue to move us closer to cures. 💙

We cannot wait to celebrate alongside so many amazing families, advocates, supporters, and friends who are helping change the future of type 1 diabetes.

REMINDER: T1D’s can get a free lifetime National Park Pass! Stop by any participating federal recreation site and present a doctor’s note confirming T1D as a permanent disability and show photo ID to get your National Park Pass. It allows entry for free to National Parks for all passengers in a non-commercial vehicle that the pass holder is in. This pass provides access to over 2,000 federal recreation sites! ☀️💙

Had a great day at the Breakthrough T1D Summit! 💙 It was such an awesome experience. Being a Youth Ambassador has been great so far and I cannot wait to see the people that I have met at future BT1D events like the Walk in the fall. 👟The Summit was a great way to talk to new people, especially at the Youth Ambassador table when people stopped by! It was also so great to see some of my role models Anna, Sid and Neil, again! 🎉Neil- your keynote was amazing…the T1D community really is in all of this together and hearing you talk about your experience with that was fantastic. 😊 Thank you! Today I even learned a new Dexcom hack to skip the sensor warm up! If you have any questions about Breakthrough T1D or being a Youth Ambassador, please feel free to reach out!

💙✨As the year comes to a close, many families are thinking about where to make meaningful, tax-deductible contributions. Isa is 15 and a triplet. She was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes just before her second birthday, a moment that changed her family’s world. Life went from navigating toddlerhood times three to managing a complex disease that touches every hour of their lives.

For Isa, T1D brings both highs and lows. She feels them every day—constant calculations, questions from classmates, and moments when fun pauses for blood sugar checks or device adjustments. Yet she finds strength in her community: summer camps, friendships with other teens who understand, and the love of her family. Her sister Mia even jumps in when strangers ask about Isa’s devices, answering with her signature sass: “It’s for her medicine!”
