What you eat can cause you way more stress, that's proven science. So if you're constantly feeling drained or like crap, let's start by looking at what you're eating.
They're trying to do away with terms like "junk food" and "bad food." But respectfully, I disagree. Processed meat as a Group 1 carcinogen. That means there's sufficient evidence that eating processed meat causes colorectal cancer. We're talking bacon, hot dogs, sausage, deli meat, anything salted, cured, or smoked.
Every 50 grams a day, about one hot dog, raises your risk by 18%. So yeah. It's junk. Separating our language into good food and bad food is necessary, and I disagree with anybody who says it's not. Cancer and chronic conditions are on the rise. So let's talk about the cause, and it starts with what you're constantly putting in your body.
Healthy eating doesn't have to be rocket science. Starting where you are is the best place to start. Removing everything from your diet at once is never a suggestion I'll make, that's not the Trail Mix Method and it's not sustainable. But I know it's possible to get you to a place where you're actually craving the foods your body loves, the foods that nourish you instead of draining you.
So this week, before you reach for the thing that leaves you feeling worse, pause and pick one meal to build with intention. Just one.
The Truth Has A Seat Here. It's Time To Sit With It.
