Happy Father’s Day to my husband, John ❤️

Watching you love, support, and show up for our family over the years has been such a blessing. Thank you for being a strong, steady, and loving father to our children. The love you have for your family is seen in so many ways, and I’m so grateful for the life we’ve built together.

Our kids are blessed to call you Dad, and I’m blessed to walk through life with you.

Happy Father’s Day, John. We love you so much. ❤️

Happy Father’s Day in Heaven, Dad. ❤️

Not a day goes by that I don’t think of you and miss you.
I miss your voice, your presence, and the comfort of knowing you were always there.

Even though you’re no longer here with us, your love, your lessons, and your memory still live on in my heart every single day.

I’m so thankful for the father you were, for the love you gave, and for the memories I get to hold onto.

I wish I could hug you one more time and tell you how much I love you.

Happy Father’s Day in Heaven, Dad.
You are missed more than words can say and loved more than ever. ❤️

One of the hardest parts of motherhood is something nobody really prepares you for.
One day your child doesn’t need you the same way anymore.
You spend years being needed for everything.
The rides.
The reminders.
The questions.
The packed lunches.
The late-night talks.
The little problems they bring to you because in their eyes, Mom can fix anything.
And then slowly, almost without warning, things change.
They grow up.
They become independent.
They start making decisions on their own.
They start building lives that don’t revolve around you.
And while that is exactly what we prayed for as mothers… it still leaves a quiet ache.
Because a part of motherhood is grieving while celebrating.
You’re proud of who they’re becoming.
But you also miss who they used to be.
I think that’s one of the strangest parts of this season of life.
Holding pride and heartbreak in the same hand.
❤️
If you’re a mom and you’ve felt this too, you’re not alone.

❤️ What’s one thing you miss about your kids being little?

After 24 years as a nurse, I’ve seen people fight for one more day.
One more conversation.
One more hug.
One more chance to say what was left unsaid.
Experiences like that change the way you see life.
They remind you that what we often call ordinary is actually extraordinary.
The family dinner.
The phone call.
The morning coffee with someone you love.
The laughter.
The memories being made today.
I’ve learned that the people we love are not interruptions to our lives.
They are the reason for it.
That’s a lesson I’ll carry with me forever.

After 24 years as a nurse, I’ve had the privilege of caring for people during some of life’s most important moments.

And over the years, I’ve noticed something.

I’ve never heard anyone say they wished they had spent less time with their family.

I’ve never heard anyone say they wished they had made fewer memories.

I’ve never heard anyone say they wished they had loved less.

What I have heard is this:

“I thought I had more time.”

That perspective changes the way you look at life.

It reminds you that the people we love aren’t interruptions to our lives.

They are our lives.

The laundry can wait.

The dishes can wait.

The email can wait.

Sometimes the most important thing we can do is simply be present.
❤️

Nobody tells you this when you’re raising kids.

One day they’ll need you for everything.

You’ll spend years driving them places, helping with homework, cheering from the sidelines, answering questions, and wondering if you’re doing enough.

Then one day things change.

The rides become fewer.

The conversations become shorter.

The house becomes quieter.

And before you know it, the season you’re living in is a memory.

Looking back, I wish I had spent less time worrying about getting everything right and more time simply being present.

Because the days that felt ordinary at the time became the days I treasure most.

If you’re in the middle of the busy years, this is your reminder:

Don’t rush through them.

One day you’ll realize these were the good old days. ❤️

❤️ What’s one memory of your kids you’ll never forget?

After 24 years as a nurse, I’ve learned something important.
Most people focus on health after a problem appears.
But prevention starts long before that.
The simple things matter more than most people realize.
Moving your body.
Drinking enough water.
Getting rest.
Managing stress.
Spending time with the people you love.
Taking care of yourself physically, mentally, and spiritually.
Small daily choices add up over time.
What is one healthy habit you’re working on right now?

Sunday has a way of slowing me down and helping me remember what really matters.

Over the years I’ve learned that life’s greatest blessings aren’t always found in the big moments.

They’re found in the ordinary ones.
The family dinners.

The conversations around the table.
The rides to practice.

The laughter.

Even the messy days.

As a mom, I spent years focused on what needed to be done next.

Looking back, those everyday moments became some of the memories I treasure most.

Today I’m thankful for God’s faithfulness through every season of life.

If you’re in a busy season right now, don’t overlook the ordinary moments.
One day you’ll look back and realize they were the special ones.

Wishing everyone a peaceful and blessed Sunday. ❤️🙏

What is one memory from your family that you’ll never forget?

One of the greatest lessons life has taught me has nothing to do with nursing.

It has everything to do with time.

For 24 years I have watched people walk through some of life’s hardest moments.

And one thing becomes very clear.

Time is precious.

Not because we don’t know how much we have.

But because we assume we have more than we do.

My youngest is in his senior year.

It feels like yesterday I was carrying him into kindergarten.

Now I am looking at future plans, and wondering where all those years went.

Life moves fast.

The laundry, practices, work schedules, grocery runs, and daily responsibilities can make us think these moments will always be here.

They won’t.

One day the games end.

The house gets quieter.

The schedules change.

The season passes.

So today I am reminding myself to slow down and notice the life happening around me.

Not someday.

Today.

Because the moments that matter most are usually the ordinary ones we almost miss.
❤️

What is one thing you want to make more time for this year?
