Please contact me at the Greenlee County Health Department if you have a child or know of a child in need of a backpack for the 2026-2027 school year. I was approved for a generous grant from the United Way of Graham & Greenlee Counties to purchase backpacks and supplies for students in need in our community. Morenci Fire Association has also assisted in purchasing the remainder of supplies needed. This is open to K-12 students who attend a Greenlee County School. We do have a limited supply and will be taking nominations. Please have the students name, grade, and teacher's name available. Backpacks will be available for pick up in early July. Attention! We have updated the Morenci location. We will no longer be at the Basha's location. To better serve and accommodate our residents we will be at the Morenci Corrals from 1-4pm. This will allow larger animals to be seen and less traffic at the Cinco de Mayo Celebration in Morenci.
