Join Desiree’ with Divinely Aligned Holistic Health & Healing for an evening where mothers are the center. Not Killing Us Is Not Enough: A Black Maternal Wellness Circle asks “how can you be well?” We will explore art, poetry, & storytelling to define wellness for ourselves in an intimate circle of Black women and mothers. It is time to reprioritize thriving, wholeness, pleasure, & wellness in motherhood over ((or alongside)) scarcity, death, & survival. This is not bypassing, it is an opportunity to recenter, reground, rediscover, & recalibrate the journey of motherhood. Come be well with us ✨
This event is sliding-scale ($5-25). Contribute according to your capacity. If funds are a barrier please reach out to Desiree’ at [email protected]. (I am so serious, do not let money stop you from joining us. Hit me up, like...right now).
Flow
We will explore poetry and Black literature to map ourselves across our motherhood journey, followed by opportunities for collective writing and sharing. Bring paper, writing utensils, and something to write on if needed.
There will be an invitation to join an optional 15-minute ritual at Surfside Beach in Freeport, TX on Sunday, April 19th at 10 AM.
Light bites and water will be provided. Shoes are not allowed in the space, come prepared to remove your shoes. Children are welcome, but please by mindful that there is limited space.
