đź’Ś NEW LETTER: Dear Wife, What Do You Want?

Wife… I have a question for you.

If everybody you loved was okay…

The kids were taken care of.
Your relationship was okay.
The bills were paid.
Nobody needed anything from you.
And for just a moment, you didn’t have to consider anybody else…

What would YOU want?

Not what you need.

Not what makes the most sense.

Not what’s responsible.

Not what everybody else needs from you.

What do you want simply because it would bring YOU joy?

While recording this Letter, I realized that knowing what I want isn’t always the difficult part.

Sometimes the difficult part is allowing myself to want it—especially when it costs money, requires time, inconveniences somebody, or means I have to depend on other people to show up for me.

And that opened up an entirely different conversation about desire, support, reciprocity, independence…and what it means to feel seen.

Because I can love myself and still want to be loved.

I can celebrate myself and still want to be celebrated.

I can stand on my own and still want somebody to stand beside me.

And I can love and care for the people in my life without disappearing from my own.

When was the last time you asked yourself what you wanted—without thinking about the kids, your relationship, the bills, your responsibilities, or what makes the most sense?

In this Letter, we’re talking about desire, guilt, support, reciprocity, and allowing ourselves to take up space in the lives we’ve spent so much time building for everyone else.

Because you can love yourself and still want to be loved. You can celebrate yourself and still want to be celebrated. And sometimes, Wife… you’re allowed to want something simply because it would bring you joy.

đź’Ś So tell me: What do you want?

💌 Dear Wife… I owe you a Letter. And an apology.

I had every intention of releasing our next Letters to a Wife episode when I said I would.

But life got heavy.

Family.
Health.
Marriage.
Motherhood.
Unexpected moments that required my presence.
And honestly… life became overwhelming and overstimulating.

So the Letter didn’t air.

And while I apologize for not showing up when I said I would, I’m also learning not to apologize for recognizing when I need to stop.

Sometimes we need to slow down.

Sometimes we need to step back.

Sometimes we need to admit:

“This is too much for me right now.”

And Wife, that doesn’t mean we’re giving up.

It doesn’t mean we’ve lost our discipline.

It doesn’t mean we aren’t committed.

Sometimes pausing is exactly how we protect ourselves from becoming mentally, emotionally and physically exhausted trying to prove that we can handle everything.

Because being a wife doesn’t stop motherhood.

Motherhood doesn’t stop family responsibilities.

Family responsibilities don’t stop work.

Work doesn’t stop our dreams.

Our dreams don’t stop unexpected life from happening.

And somewhere underneath ALL of those things…

there is still a woman who needs care too.

I needed a moment to stop.

Step back.

Reset.

Refocus.

Reflect.

And figure out how to get myself back on track without exhausting myself trying to catch up.

So that’s what I did.

And maybe somebody else needs permission to do the same.

You are allowed to say life feels overwhelming.

You are allowed to admit you’re overstimulated.

You are allowed to put something down temporarily.

You are allowed to rest before your body or mind forces you to.

You are allowed to reset the plan without abandoning the goal.

And you don’t have to run yourself into the ground trying to prove that you can carry everything at once.

💌 Our missed Letter, “Dear Wife, What Do You Want?”, will air Monday, September 14.

And because I have another Letter waiting for you, we’ll meet again five days later on Saturday, September 19 for our next one.

I’m coming back.

Not because life suddenly became perfect.

But because sometimes getting back on track doesn’t mean rushing to catch up.

Sometimes it means taking the pause you needed…

and beginning again.

Thank you for giving me the space to be a woman behind Letters to a Wife, too. đź’—

Until Monday, Wife.

Rest if you need to.
Reset if you need to.
And then, when you’re ready…

begin again. 💌🎙️

đź’Ś A new letter is here.

This one is personal.

For a long time, I thought growing meant eventually finding the “final” version of myself—the healed version, the accomplished version, the woman who finally had it all figured out.

I don’t believe that anymore.

I’ve learned that we can be healing and building. We can honor who we used to be while still making room for who we’re becoming.

So this letter is for the woman who has lived a few different lives within this one life.

The woman who has survived.
The woman who has sacrificed.
The woman who has learned.
The woman who has rebuilt.
And especially…the woman who is still becoming. 💗

💌 NEW LETTER: Dear Wife, Make Room for the Woman You’re Becoming

I spent years thinking I needed to “find myself.”

But what I’m learning is… maybe there was never just one version of me to find.

I’ve been many women in this lifetime—the woman surviving, sacrificing, learning, healing, rebuilding, loving, dreaming and becoming.

And I’m finally realizing I don’t have to hate an old version of myself to make room for a new one.

In this Letter, we’re talking about honoring who you’ve been, loving who you are, and leaving room for the woman you haven’t met yet.

Because, Wife…

You are allowed to keep becoming. đź’—
