Loved the opportunity to host a special Restorative Reset session for some very special, hard working and caring people on Saturday! ✨
This past Saturday a group of local wellness professionals gathered at Redwood for something very simple; a morning where they didn’t have to be the ones taking care of others.
💚 Instead, they could just receive.
For 90 minutes, they slowed down, moved gently, and allowed their nervous systems to settle. Then we shared lunch together, and had the opportunity to connect with other wellness professionals who understand what it means to spend so much of your life holding space and caring for others.
🌿 And the feedback afterward reminded me why I wanted to create this experience in the first place.
What I heard throughout the morning was how needed having a space to slow down, unplug, and simply receive care is —especially for those who often are the ones providing it.
Many came in carrying the responsibilities and weight of everyday life and left feeling more calm, clear, and replenished.
Because the truth is, those of us in helping professions often know the tools. We share them and encourage others to use them.
💗 But there is something different about having the space to actually pause and practice them.
💛 To step out of the role of caregiver for a little while.
💚 To let someone else hold the space.
♥️ And there was something powerful about doing that alongside others who understand what it means to spend so much of your life caring for others.
I think we all need spaces where we don't have to be “on.” Where we can simply breathe, soften, reconnect, and be cared for.
🌿 Thank you to all the wellness professionals who took time out of their busy lives to pause and receive some care.
We are so grateful for the work you do and the ways you care for our community.
We see you. We appreciate you. And we are so grateful you joined us for our Give Back Restorative Reset.
