‼️SPOILER ALERT‼️
That pain in your shoulders isn’t from what you think it is!!!
Iit’s posture.
Sleeping wrong.
Working at a computer.
Or that their traps are just tight.
And structurally, those things can absolutely contribute.
But in mindbody work, we ask another question:
What are they carrying?
Shoulders often reflect burden, responsibility, obligation, and the pressure to hold everything together.
Think about the language we naturally use:
“I have the weight of the world on my shoulders.”
“It all falls on me.”
“I’m carrying too much.”
“I have to be the strong one.”
And then they show up on your table with shoulders practically touching their ears.
You can release the traps.
You can work the levator.
You can address the pecs and scapula.
But if they leave your table and go right back to carrying everything and everyone, that familiar holding pattern WILL return.
That’s the difference between only looking at where it hurts and learning to ask why the body may be responding there?
