Rhonda Gibson LMT Self Help Page Deciding to become a Massage Therapist was a no brainer after sustaining an injury to my back in 2007. That visit changed my life. Come see me.

I had been a single mother of two and survivor of domestic violence since 1997 and was still struggling to find my place in the big scheme of life. That injury, though it seemed like a setback at the time, would be the catalyst that would bring out the very best in me. I learned the difference between a spinal injury and "soft tissue" injury via a visit to a local chiropractor who introduced me to

his onsite Massage Therapist. I realized that through massage therapy, not only was MY injury nearly instantly relieved, but that I had the skillset to offer the same relief to others, without the use of addictive prescriptions with side effects. I also realized I could begin a career that would sustain my family. Since that time, I have been "adding tools" to my "toolbox" through education and experience. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Miller Motte Technical school in 2014, along with the highest score on the MBLEX exam, achieved by anyone in our program, according to our director. Not being much of a "book learner" I knew then that I had truly found my calling. As the years have passed, I have also learned that I am also an empath, a lightworker and a truthteller, all of which explains why I'm able to "tap into" more than just the muscular system when I'm working on someone who's been through emotional and physical trauma. I sense it, because I lived it, and now I'm able to assist in releasing the "muscle memory", somatically associated with injuries sustained both physically... and emotionally. Each of us has a mind/body connection that needs regular maintenance, healing and strengthening, just as frequently as many of us tend to the care of only our bodies. If you care for your body but neglect your soul and spirit... you're out of balance and may often feel frustrated without understanding why. You may even be an "alpha female" and "have it all together" on the outside... but something is missing on the inside that you just can't put your finger on. Let's work it out, together.

Some seasons test our faith more than others.

The road may feel steeper than you expected. Doors may remain closed longer than you hoped. But difficulty is not evidence that God has abandoned you. Often, it is in the hardest moments that He is strengthening your faith, shaping your character, and preparing you for what lies ahead.

Don't let temporary discouragement cause you to lose sight of God's eternal faithfulness. Keep trusting Him. Keep taking the next faithful step. He is still working, even when you cannot yet see the full picture.

If these quiet reflections encourage your walk with Jesus, we'd love to have you join our free weekly devotional. Every week, we share Scripture and thoughtful encouragement to help you find peace in every season, grow deeper in your faith, and keep your eyes fixed on Christ—one day at a time. You can join through the link in our bio.
