Fearfully and Wonderfully Made. What looks like an error or mistake is a unique design by God, placed by intention, to mobilize a child from an impossible start to the edge of the ocean. This photo at first glace may look like limits, but we see freedom.

Have you ever wondered if anxiety, low mood, brain fog, or even difficulty sleeping could be connected to your gut?

Our bodies are beautifully connected, and the gut and brain are in constant communication. Through what is known as the gut-brain axis, digestive health can influence much more than digestion—it may also play a role in how we think, feel, focus, and sleep.

In my newest blog post, we’re taking a closer look at the gut-brain connection, what can happen when the gut is out of balance, and why looking at the whole person matters for both adults and children.

Mental health is complex, and the gut is certainly not the answer to everything—but it deserves a place in the conversation.

As you know from previous posts, at Cornerstone, we value creativity and art. This extends beyond our kids' art corner. Many people enjoy and comment on the photographs on display in the clinic. We wanted to share some of the reasons we chose these photos and what they represent to us.

One of the photos you will see down the main hall is a picture of a young man and his puppy. What drew me to this photo is the question, "Who is the teacher, and who is the student?" At Cornerstone Family Wellness, we champion and encourage children to learn new things--hard things that require persistence, delayed gratification, troubleshooting, and reconnecting them with nature. We cheer on times when children are the teachers AND when they are the students 🤍

A new blog post is live. 🤍

The favor and approval of others can be difficult to hold onto. It can change with circumstances, relationships, and seasons of life—and when our peace becomes tied to it, we can find ourselves carrying a weight we were never meant to carry.

In “Clothed in Something Better,” we look at the story of Joseph and the difference between the fleeting favor of man and the lasting righteousness we have in Christ.
