Hello Bear Country!

For our 3rd season, UCA Summer Theatre will open Ken Ludwig's Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood on Friday, June 19th. Performances will be held in the James M. Bridges BlackBox Theatre in the Windgate Center for Fine and Performing Arts.

UCA Faculty and Staff can receive ONE comp ticket by visiting the Reynolds Performance Hall Box Office and presenting them your Bear Card. All other general admission tickets are $15.

There are a limited number of seats, so plan accordingly and come show your support for Conway's only professional theatre!

BeWell
It is almost that time of year where BeWell partners with the UCA Student Health Clinic to offer FREE biometric screenings to eligible employees by appointment. Take advantage of this opportunity to better understand and manage your health and earn a health insurance premium discount for 2027. The screening takes less than 15 minutes and is one of two activities to complete in order to qualify for a discount on your health insurance premiums in 2027. Payroll
2026-2027 Faculty Deferred Pay:

Faculty wishing to update their deferred pay for the 2026-2027 Academic Year must submit the Faculty Twelve-Month Deferral Pay Authorization Form by July 1, 2026.

Fiscal Year End 2026 Information:

Please review attached FY26 Payroll Deadlines to ensure employees are paid on July 15th.

All reallocations for FY26 are due to Payroll by July 7, 2026

UCA represented in 2026 Arkansas Business 40 Under 40

Three individuals with connections to the University of Central Arkansas were recognized at the 2026 Arkansas Business Publishing Group’s 40 Under 40 awards luncheon Wednesday, June 3, at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock.

Each year, Arkansas Business presents its 40 Under 40 list to recognize intriguing business and political leaders under 40 years old.

Congratulations!!!

Matt Whiting, UCA Director of Athletics. He is among the 2026 Class. He was named director of athletics at UCA in 2024 at age 36. Whiting oversees a department that includes 18 Division I sports, 13 head coaches and 450-plus student athletes. He has also led record fundraising efforts for UCA athletics, totaling more than $15 million in gifts since 2016.

Ashton Collier, ’09 is the chief financial officer for the Northwest Arkansas National Airport in Bentonville. She earned an accounting degree from UCA in 2009 and is an active CPA with 15 years of experience in public, corporate and nonprofit/governmental accounting.

Amir Deylami, who served as an Executive in Residence for the UCA College of Business last spring, was also a member of the 2026 class. Deylami is chief operating officer and associate center director for the NASA Ames Research Center.
