The pain was off the charts!

One week back in the gym and I come down with THE upper respiratory infection from HELL ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

Now three weeks later, nearly April mind you, and a quarter of the way through the year ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ, Iโ€™m finally feeling healthy enough to get back in the gym.

I may have put on a few pounds during this lay away but never ever thought about throwing in the towel!

My only thoughts were about getting back to my routine, gym 5 x weekly,
hiking, 10K steps daily, etc

Iโ€™m taking it slow as we all should when in recovery

We all have our moments, some last longer than others

Just donโ€™t stop showing up for yourself

Two months no gym, no cardio, no nothing but sitting on my behind due to a spinal situation.

Today Iโ€™m finally back, weights and cardio .. and it feels sooooo good!! ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

Taking it easy, starting out with far less weight but dang, Iโ€™m so jazzed ๐Ÿ˜

Taking February easy by getting back into a familiar routine, so I ramped up the walking the last week and averaged a daily 7,000 steps.

Not so shabby considering I was unable to move without extreme pain less than two weeks ago.

Extremely grateful for all the positive energy and love โ™ฅ๏ธ Thank you!

After any kind of procedure, itโ€™s absolutely necessary to ease back into your fitness program.

Continue to increase and stay on track!

Iโ€™m back!

Life can be interesting! Just went through an agonizing two plus months of pain and down time.

It was discovered that I had a synovial cyst on my spine at L5 causing massive pain and disability.

Procedure to stabilize was last Monday 2/2 and thankfully I am currently pain free!!

Getting back into the swing of things. Walking 2 miles now and following the PT instructions, lots of stretching and core strengthening.

Love my life ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผโ™ฅ๏ธ๐Ÿ’ช

and easing back into cardio.

Itโ€™s so important to give ourselves grace especially when weโ€™re not 100%.

My go-to recipe for a happier & healthier life is this โ€ฆ

Lift often
Walk lots
Drink minimal, if at all
Eat well
and
Love unconditionally!

Itโ€™s not optional, itโ€™s essential as we age!
