● Leezette was inspired by college orientation day w/ her FIDM-bound (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising School) nephew (who is now Head of Design at Uggs) and her two high school & college-age nieces… Their tight, trite elastic hair ties dented their hair & wrists.
● During a home "craft night', they designed bracelet/hair ties, headbands, rings & waist ties with elastic & sewed-on buttons. Yet, those lacked FUNction, fashion and interchangeable factors. That much-needed niche inspired her first motif & favorite design (motivated by her France-Italy jaunts) -- the Fleur de Lis charm slider.
