Come on out!!!

We are proud to be participating in the second annual Disability Pride Event at McHenry County College today from 10 am to 1 pm! Thank you Z Advocacy for organizing the event to celebrate the beauty, diversity and lived experiences of people with disabilities.

Sgt. Riffe is speaking to attendees about our voluntary Blue Envelope Program, which improves communication and promotes positive interactions between police officers and drivers on the autism spectrum in Lake in the Hills.

The blue envelope helps officers quickly recognize that a person has specific communication needs or requires support during a law enforcement encounter, helping to reduce anxiety, confusion and misunderstandings.

2026 Disability Pride Event! ONE WEEK!

We’re so excited to attend the second annual Crystal Lake Disability Pride Event! This year’s is being held at McHenry County College in the Luecht Auditorium, Cafeteria, and Commons (building B). It’s Saturday, July 25, 2026 from 10 am - 1 pm. There’s a great line up of musicians to enjoy and lots of small business pop-ups from the disability community to support. Come out for a great day of community and inclusivity! You can search “Crystal Lake Disability Pride” in Facebook to find the event - the main event page has the disability flag image.
