It can be doing some light housekeeping, tidying up the kitchen, meal prepping, washing bottles, washing/ folding baby laundry, and baby care while mom showers/ naps.

🌷Welcome baby Amanah🌷

Amanah’s arrival had mom anxiously awaiting for her. Her labor was filled with a calm and loving presence from so many people. Assisting her in the bath, shower, bed, and floor.
🌸The goal was to go for an unmediated birth. After some time, we realized that labor had stalled a bit and contractions were looking irregular. We let mom know that we were worried of maternal exhaustion since it has been 20hrs. Mom’s wonderful sister in law was great at reassuring her that an epidural does not mean failure. After receiving an epidural, mom got a couple hours of rest and was ready to start welcoming her baby girl.
❤️Thank you to my clients amazing husband, sister in law, midwife and nurse team. Everyone kept the vibes positive and calm.

Through prayer, positive atmosphere, and support, we welcome baby Amanah🥰

It is a MYTH that you must stay on your back during labor with an epidural. However, you must be in the bed. Movement is our friend in labor. Even with an epidural. Which is why it’s important to have someone assist you every 20-45 minutes in switching positions.

Thank you to all of the nurses for what you guys do to take care of patients ❤️

Big thank you to the L&D and NICU nurses for taking care of mom and babies. Another big thank you to the nurses who’ve taken care of my clients and jammed out with us while in labor and bringing a positive vibe to the room 🥰🌸

Today is National Nurses Day.

To the labor and delivery nurses,
the postpartum nurses,
the NICU nurses,
the pediatric nurses,
the school nurses,
the ER nurses,
the ICU nurses,
the oncology nurses,
the hospice nurses,
the psych nurses,
the home health nurses,
the OR nurses,
the dialysis nurses,
the cardiac nurses,
the rehab nurses,
and every other nurse showing up day after day,

thank you.

Thank you for the nights you don’t sleep.
The meals you miss.
The emotional weight you carry home after hard shifts.

Thank you for comforting scared patients,
supporting families,
saving lives,
holding hands through heartbreak,
and still finding compassion even when you’re exhausted.

People will never fully understand how much nurses carry behind those scrubs.

But today,
we honor all of you.
