I create recipes differently 🥕

🥕🥕🥕🥕COOK VS RAW 🥕🥕

✔️When you cook vegetables the heat tends to destroy some nutrients
✔️This may not be true for all vegetables
✔️Cooked carrots tend to be healthier and more nutritious than raw ones

🥕This dish balances your craving for sweet at Breakfast🥕

It is a common belief that when you cook vegetables the heat tends to destroy the nutrients but this principle may not be true for all vegetables. Yes, there are some veggies such as beetroot, broccoli and bell peppers which are healthier when eaten raw. One reason is that these vegetables contain Vitamin C which is a heat-sensitive nutrient that gets destroyed during cooking. But, in case of carrots, this may not be true. In fact, it is believed that cooked carrots tend to be healthier and more nutritious.

A study published in the Journal of Agriculture and Food Chemistry shows that and steaming tends to preserve the antioxidant carotenoid found in carrots and zucchini. Simply put, the carotenoids found in carrots such as the beta carotene are more readily available to be absorbed by the body when they are cooked…. It’s essentially trapped in plant tissues and requires some chopping and cooking to maximize the amount . Just lightly steam...they don’t have to be broken down all the way. Even grating helps break cell walls releasing the nutrient.

Beta-carotene is an important carotenoid which gives fruits and vegetables their red, yellow, and orange colour. The body converts this beta-carotene into vitamin A, an essential nutrient that plays an important role in maintaining healthy vision, bone growth and boosting the immune system. It is a fat-soluble vitamin which is not lost when the foods containing them are cooked. The body tends to store it in the liver and adipose tissue when not used and therefore, you don't need this vitamin in large quantities or on a daily basis. Pumpkins which are also rich in beta-carotene follow the same principle and may be more nutritious when cooked than eating them raw as per various scientific studies.

Now juicing is another subject....you are after other vitamins and minerals and instant assimilation without the fiber...extraction does provide some release. Prepare your foods with purpose .....raw or cooked depending on Your Purpose & needs.

🌶CHILI 🥕CARROTS 🥗CABBAGE

The 3 Cancer Fighting “C”s 🥕🌶🥗

🌶🌶The pepper's natural ingredient capsaicin induces autophagy blockage in prostate cancer cells
Ágata Ramos-Torres, Alicia Bort, [...], and Inés Díaz-Laviada
Abstract
CAPSICUM the pungent ingredient of red hot chili peepers, has been shown to have anti-cancer activities in several cancer cells, including prostate cancer. Several molecular mechanisms have been proposed on its chemopreventive action, including ceramide accumulation.Herein, we have tested the involvement of autophagy on the capsaicin mechanism of action on prostate cancer LNCaP and PC-3 cells.
The results showed that capsaicin induced prostate cancer cell death in a time- and concentration-dependent manner.

🥗🥗CABBAGE has been shown to inhibit urinary bladder and liver carcinogenesis, and reduce the risk of occurrence of prostate, lung, gallbladder, stomach, cervical, kidney and colorectal cancer. This anticarcinogenic activity has been found in green cabbage, red cabbage, bok choy, and to some extent, in sauerkraut. As a result of its pigmentation, red cabbage contains anthocyanins such as delphinidin, which has anticarcinogenic activity.
Cabbage has been found to be promote apoptosis, suppress cell cycle progression and inhibit angiogenesis of human breast cancer cells.

🥕🥕CARROTS & CARROT JUICE have powerful chemicals falcarinol and luteolin that reawakens silenced cancer suppressor genes and restores our body's capacity to regulate cell division and destroy abnormal cells. Carrot juice treatment can help people with cancer on its own, or combined with chemotherapy and radiation. Studies have shown carrots reduce the risk of lung cancer, breast cancer and colon cancer.

This is a very simple and easy recipe 🌶🥕🥗

Nicely roasted cabbage turns sweet and earthy, with a deliciously silky texture. There's a beautiful balance of flavors here--sweetness from cabbage and carrots, fire from hot sauce and brightness from vinegar.
Ingredients
* 2 1/4 pounds green cabbage, core removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
* 1 cup vertically sliced yellow onion
* 1 tablespoon coconut oil
* 1 Monk Fruit to taste optional
* 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
* 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
* 3 cups carrots, cut into ribbons
* 3 tablespoons cider vinegar
* 2 teaspoons hot sauce or to taste
* Another tablespoon Coconut oil for carrots

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 450°.
Combine cabbage, onion, oil, black pepper, and salt in a large bowl; toss to coat. (It's OK if the cubes start to separate.)
☀️
Divide cabbage mixture between 2 jelly-roll pans. Bake at 450° for 20 minutes, stirring and rotating pans after 10 minutes.
🔆
In the same bowl that you used for the cabbage, combine carrots, vinegar, and hot sauce; toss to coat.
🔆
Remove cabbage from oven, and carefully transfer the bowl with the carrots. Add the second tablespoon of coconut oil and toss gently to combine.
🔆
Return to the oven for 5 minutes just to wilt the carrots....

💥A MUST READ..!!!
Now many of you know this...but we have members who are newbies....

💥WATER AND SOAP IN ARMPIT BEFORE BEDTIME
We spend the night with armpit deodorant in order for our armpit to smell good and fresh.
Some time ago, I went to a seminar on Breast Cancer, led by Terry Birk with support from Dan Sullivan.

One of the main causes of Breast Cancer is the use of antiperspirant.

Most products on the market are a combination of antiperspirant/deodorants.
Look at the labels!
Deodorant is fine, however ANTIPERSPIRANT can be very harmful because of the concentration of toxins that causes cell mutation: CANCER.

The human body has few areas where it can eliminate toxins: behind the knees, behind the ears, the English areas and armpits.
Toxins are eliminated through perspiration.
The antiperspirant, as the name says, prevents you from perspiring, thereby inhibiting the body to eliminate toxins through the armpits-these toxins do not magically disappear.

Most breast cancers occur in the upper outside quadrant of the breast area (see pic). More common in women however men are not free from this sickness too.
Breast Cancer can develop due to the use of antiperspirant instead of soap and water.
The difference lies in the fact that when men use antiperspirant, not applied directly to the skin, they do so in large part on the hair of the armpits.

Women who apply antiperspirant or aftershave- shaving the underarms, increase the risk due to tiny injuries and skin irritations which allows harmful chemical components to pe*****te more quickly into the body.

So be careful when removing underarm hair and choose your products carefully.....a clean diet will help...you smell sweet...and never wear any deodorant when detoxing.

HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED❓

Can too much sugar cause dehydration❓

Sugar, like salt, causes feelings of dehydration. Due to the excess sugar floating around in your bloodstream, your body needs more water to balance out. This causes fluid retention — the effect that’s part of the reason you feel so large and bloaty after dessert.

Carrots mingle with shiitake mushrooms, sesame seeds in this hearty plant-based recipe. If you don’t have an oven-proof saute pan, just transfer your carrots and mushrooms to a baking pan for roasting. Finish your dish with a drizzle of an optional sesame sauce made with liquid aminos, apple cider vinegar and toasted sesame oil. Serve your Roasted Carrots With Shiitake Mushrooms over steamed brown rice or quinoa as a main or on its own as a naturally vegan side dish for the family. Vegan. Gluten Free. Serves 2-4.
Ingredients
* 6-8 heirloom carrots
* 1/2 lb shiitake mushrooms
* 2 garlic cloves
* 1/2 lime
* 2 tbsp coconut oil
* 1 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted
* Salt and black pepper to taste
Sesame Soy Sauce
* 1 tbsp olive oil
* 2 tsp Tamari or liquid aminos
* 1 tsp lime juice or Apple Cider Vinegar
* 1/4 tsp sesame oil

INSTRUCTIONS

* Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Heat the coconut oil in a large, oven proof sauté pan on medium-high heat. Add the garlic cloves. Add carrots and shiitake mushrooms. Squeeze lime over the contents of the pan. Toss the pan to coat the carrots and mushrooms.
* Place the pan in the oven until the carrots and mushrooms are roasted. Your timing will vary based on the thickness of your carrots, which could take anywhere from 15–25 minutes.
* Transfer carrots and mushrooms to a plate and let cool. When cool, cut the carrots and slice the shiitake mushrooms. NOTE: You do NOT want to burn your hand on the handle of your sauté pan when you pull it from the oven. Use an oven mitt!
* If using the sesame sauce, whisk together all ingredients for the sauce in a small bowl.
* Toss your carrots and shiitake mushrooms with toasted sesame sauce. Garnish your with toasted sesame seeds and season with salt & pepper to taste. Serve over steamed brown rice or quinoa as a main or on its own as a naturally vegan side dish.

BABY BOK CHOY SALAD w/ KIMCHI VINEGARETTE 🟢🟢

BABY BOK CHOY has a personality. Not a broccoli fan? Then I’ve got the next best thing. Bok choy is another cruciferous vegetable with anticancer benefits.

Bok choy is a member of the cabbage family. White stalks are a sign it’s not as tender as the green stalks. White stalks are best suited for soups and stews. Green stalks are good lightly steamed or raw.

The delicate vegetable also has folate, which helps repair DNA and is cancer protective.

Try ginger, garlic, citrus, or mint dressings with this tasty green…. Or this easy store bought kimchi dressing recipe. If you eat kimchi alone you can just slather the kimchi onto the bok choy. The dressing is an easy introduction to the fermented food.

* TEA TIME🔆🔆🔆🔆🔆🔆

I brew herbal tea and keep it capped tight in fridge ..no more than 3 days. An increasingly popular herbal tea combination is ginger and turmeric—and for good reason! “The curcumin in turmeric offers anti-inflammatory benefits, while the gingerols found in ginger offer enhanced digestion,”

Remember✔️

Tea is the world's most popular drink, next to water, and it's common to add a splash (or more) of milk to offset its strong flavor. But if you drink tea specifically for its antioxidant benefits, think again before adding a splash of milk. Adding milk to tea will lower its antioxidant activity.

Interactions between tea polyphenols and milk proteins, especially between catechins and caseins, account for the decrease in antioxidant activity, although other mechanisms are also possible given the similar effect between plant based and bovine milk. The role of milk fat globules is the primary problem..choose almond milk.
