Friends and family from near and far: Early Giving is now open for NTX Giving Day 2021! Our goal for this early funding period is to raise $2,000 for Wezmore and the work we’re putting out into the world.

Hey hey hey, happy 51st

This is a day to re-commit to and re-up on sustainable, environmentally conscious practices while also giving thanks for the world we get to inhabit.

Just like our minds, bodies, and relationships, Earth must also be nourished, encouraged, and protected in order to bloom and grow.

May these April showers bring May flowers, and may we strive to create a habitable, healthy future for each other and those to come.

What is SEL?

Social and Emotional Learning is a blend of healthy physical, psychological and social habits. The five principles of SEL are: self-awareness, self-management, social-awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making.

In combination, developing and practicing these skills lead to increased emotional wellbeing as well as a better understanding of oneself and others. 🌱

To practice SEL is to practice empowerment, resiliency, and compassion.

Did you know there are only 58 years between this photo and this year? It’s a sharp reminder of the ongoing fight for justice and equity in our country.

Black History Month is a time for Americans to acknowledge and learn about the past in order to build a more equitable future. From the Freedom Riders who fought to end segregation to Nobel Prize Nominee Stacey Abrams’ work as a voting rights activist, the fight toward freedom is constant.

This month, take time to support Black businesses, highlight Black leadership, and learn about Black history. Because Black history is American history.🇺🇸

🌟WEZMOMENT🌟

Happy New year!🎊 To kick off 2021, we’re unveiling something very special we’ve had in the works: The Wezmore Basics Program.

WBP is a series of short, spunky, social and emotional learning-based videos that are ~free~ to access. It’s SEL curriculum that can be easily inserted into the classroom (or virtual classroom) without extra planning.

This series is titled, “The Happy One,” and will teach students skills like self-esteem and self-confidence, empowering them to live happier, healthier human lives. 🌱
