We continue to appreciate each day knowing what these two amazing young gentlemen gave us- they not only gave Evan his chance in life, but like a ripple effect they impacted the lives of so many, his family , friends and everyone whose lives he touched. Gold was chosen as the ideal color for childhood cancer awareness because it is a precious metal, reflecting the value of our children, the most precious thing in our lives. Show your support by wearing gold during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

FANTASTIC NEWS!!!! Evan had his 7 year checkup today and .......... he's officially still NED (No Evidence of Disease). We were blessed with a mini family reunion of some of our favorite people who became our family when we were at Children's. Having them there today just made it that much more of a blessing.
While there, we were told of how many patients loved our Evan's Avengers goody bags, so we will be putting them together again - anything for the kiddos and their families.

We have so much to celebrate this weekend. Nov 8 was Evan's 7 yr Re-re birthday of his 2nd Bone Marrow Transplant, and on Nov 11 will be his 8th re- birthday of his 1st BMT. Sure, there have been hiccups along the way, but because of 2 strangers who stepped up and said yes to donating their Bone Marrow, Evan is now about to graduate high school. We are forever grateful to you, Dan and , for the gift you've given us!

While more than 200 cancer drugs have been developed and approved for adults, the FDA, through 2021 has approved a total of 35 drugs for use in the treatment of childhood cancers. 29 of the drugs were originally approved only for adult use. Today we have only six drugs that were approved in the first instance for use in cancer treatment for children.
