I remember the night I finally told God I was done.
I had fought for years. I had drained every resource, seen doctor after doctor across the country, and I had nothing left. So I prayed the hardest prayer of my life. I told Him I surrendered, and I asked Him to either take me home or finally give me my answer.
The very next morning, I got my diagnosis. After almost a decade of searching, it came through a total stranger, in a way only God could have arranged. My miracle showed up about twelve hours after I let go.
I'm not sharing this to say surrender is easy. I'm sharing it because I know what it's like to hold on so tightly to control that you have nothing left. Sometimes the turning point isn't fighting harder. It's finally letting go.
