Why is our first retreat to India?
Why India?
One of the most common questions I receive is:
“Is yoga safe for Christians?”
My answer is always the same: You need to be informed.
There is no better place to learn than from those who have lived within yogic culture for generations, while also learning alongside Christians who have thoughtfully studied these questions for many years. Understanding a culture does not require abandoning your faith. In fact, understanding often strengthens it.
We are creating opportunities to experience, learn, ask questions, and engage with one of the world’s oldest living cultures firsthand.
India is a place where medicine, spirituality, movement, wellness, philosophy, and community have intertwined for thousands of years. Whether your interest is healthcare, massage therapy, integrative wellness, missions, cultural immersion, or personal growth, there is something profoundly educational about seeing these traditions in their native context.
For healthcare professionals, it offers an opportunity to explore principles of movement, breath, nervous system regulation, and wellness through a broader lens. For Christians, it offers an opportunity to engage another culture with discernment, humility, and confidence rather than fear or assumptions. Too many classes in America lack substance. Too many organizations will lead you astray
Our retreats are designed around meaningful experiences—not simply tourism.
We learn from local communities.
We explore breathtaking landscapes, waterfalls, mountains, and coffee estates.
We participate in service opportunities.
We build relationships across cultures.
We create space for reflection, renewal, and growth.
Most importantly, we seek to honor Jesus-centered values while approaching every culture with respect and curiosity.
Travel has a way of teaching us not only about the world, but about ourselves.
Why India?
Because understanding is better than assumption.
Because wisdom grows through experience.
Because some lessons can only be learned by being there.
Learn. Serve. Rest.
