Today’s Education: Rocks!!

Last week we talked about Obsidian. If you missed it you can easily find it here on Facebook or on our Instagram page!!

This week we will be discussing Clear Quartz.
This rock is considered a witchcraft basic, and can be used for all sorts of metaphysical practices and purposes.

Clear Quartz is formed through the crystallization of Silicone Dioxide (SiO2). When hot silica rich fluids (water saturated with Silicone Dioxide) seep into underground cavities,cracks, and fissures.

On a metaphysical and spiritual level clear quartz can be used to absorb store and release energy. It can also be used to regulate energy. It’s an excellent amplifier- especially if the goal is cleansing or cleaning the energy.

It is often associated with the crown chakra, often said to help harmonize all the chakras.

Often associated with Aries for its ability to help bring balance to their forest tempers, and burning ambition. Though it works well with many star signs! Fire signs seem to gravitate towards its “cooling” properties.

This is a three card spread featuring the Queen of Pentacles in Reverse, Queen of Swords in Reverse and 8 of Pentacles in reverse.

The Queen of Pentacles in reverse generally represents financial independence, self care, work-home conflict.
The Queen of Swords in reverse represents overly emotional, easily influenced, bitchy and even cold hearted energy.
The 8 of Pentacles reversed represents self development perfectionism, misdirected activity, and fussing over details.

Right now this particular energy maybe pointing to someone learning some hard lessons about themselves, that may be going through it financially or in their career. They have their focus spread to thin, and they can’t lock in on any specific project or goal. They may be experiencing conflict in their home life, or maybe at work and they’re letting that get to them and affect their performance. It’s a difficult time emotionally, and they are struggling to gain their footing.

This energy speaks heavily to earth signs that may feel unstable or ungrounded right now. The colors sky blue and sage green come to mind. You’re struggling against a force of nature, and you can’t see the other side of it yet.

This development of yourself and your situation isn’t comfortable, and it will take time.

Happy Sunday! I hope you are able to enjoy it! “Just for today do not be lead by worry” one of the five Reiki principles, and one that sits close to us here at Sacred Hearth Apothecary.

Today’s focus is meditative practices.

One of the most common is Mindfulness Meditation, which is rooted in Buddhist Traditions, and one of the most popular modern day methods of meditation.

It involves observing thoughts, emotions, and sensations without judging or engaging with them. It can help create present moment awareness. If you struggle with being present, this one might be for you.

If you are worried about what’s next, take a moment now and breathe. Be present in the here and now, even if it’s just a few seconds of slower breathing, and relaxing your body.

This can be practiced anywhere, daily. You got this!

It’s finally Saturday!! For most, it is a good time to breathe, for some it could be the beginning of your work week. Wherever you are in life, and whether it’s the end of your week or the beginning of it. It’s always good to take some time to reflect. That’s why Sacred Hearth Apothecary is dedicated to posting a Shadow Work Prompt every week. Work on it on your own, leave a comment, connect with yourself and the people around you. Take some time to reflect on who you are, where you are going, and who you want to be.

Happy Friday!! We made it folks!! I hope you have a great weekend, and an easy day.

Today’s topic: gods and goddesses.

The focus of today is ☀️Lord Apollo☀️
Both a Greek and Roman god, one of the few who didn’t undergo a name change or “job” change when the Roman adopted Greek mythology.
The Greek spelling of the word: Ἀπόλλων
The Roman- Latin Spelling: Apollō

Apollo is often depicted as a god of prophecy, music, poetry, healing, sun, and light. Frequently depicted carrying a bow and taking on a role as a god of archery as well. Though mythology experts would say the bulk of the archery fame falls to the huntress, his twin sister Artemis.

Apollo rules the sun, and took on many roles and personality traits of the Greek and Roman titan Helios.

However Helios and Apollo are not the same deity, as Helios is a titan and part of the first age. Like many titans Helios envelopes the literal thing he *is* the sun. Where as Apollo oversees that domain.
Apollo’s linage is the same in both Greek and Roman Myth as being the son of Zeus (Jupiter) and the Titaness Leto (Latona). One of Apollo’s earliest apprences is in the 8th Century BCE in the Homeric Epics. Though his Hymn would not appear until the 7th Century BCE.

His most popular myth is his slaying of Python which made him a master of fate and thus the patron of the Oracle of Delphi.

Apollo had his own temples, and following in both Roman and Greek ancient practices. With many Neo and Hellenistic practices worshiping him today.

Typical Greek and Roman Offerings to Apollo back then included poetry, musical performances, honey, and wine. As well as pilgrimages to his Prophetess in Delphi.

It’s Thursday and we are almost to the weekend!! Today’s theme ✨plants and herbs✨
Today’s herb is Rosemary.

Rosemary is part of the mint family and is an evergreen. Its scientific name is Salvia Rosmarinus, its botanical name is Rosmarinus Officinalis.

Metaphysical and spiritual properties have it deeply associated with cleansing, protection, memory, and love.

While some Neo- Polytheistic practices and some old Hellenistic practices have been known to use it in dream work.

It’s mostly associated with the third eye and crown chakras.

On a medicinal level it can be used as a natural anti-inflammatory.

Happy Pisces Season! ♓️

Between the retrograde and that Virgo eclipse, the universe has been on a serious cleaning spree.

We’ve noticed a major shift lately. It’s like we’re all collectively growing a backbone... some of us by accident 😅

We just don't have the energy anymore to keep "adjusting" for people who wouldn't do the same for us.

Sometimes, it’s not even a big blowout or a dramatic conversation.

Sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do is just quietly remove access. Not opening the message. Not giving an explanation they’ve already heard a hundred times. Just... stopping the flow of energy.

There is honestly nothing quite like the feeling of watching someone exit your life the second they realize they can't bend your boundaries anymore.

The silence is louder than anything you could say.
