Let's Talk About Health: Caring for Older Adults in Rural New York – May 8, 8:30-4:00.

Access to healthcare and other supportive services are critical to maintaining good health as we age, yet older adults in rural areas face a variety of access barriers. These challenges are a topic not often covered in health professions' education. The goal of this conference is identify and mitigate the challenges of providing health care in rural areas by increasing knowledge of population health data, treatment strategies, and supports and services in order to encourage and build resilience in rural caregivers and health care providers.

If you are caregiving for someone with dementia or Alzheimer's, please join us! As people living with dementia progress in their journey and lose the ability to use words, caregivers can discover new ways to communicate effectively in any stage of the disease. Learn how dementia affects communication, how new & different approaches can improve communication and much more.

Join the Alzheimer's Association on February 25th for a free caregiver education class!

Alzheimer's and dementia do not come with an instruction manual, but there are resources available to help. Use these free education programs to learn more about what to expect and how to prepare for the future. Registration is required. Please be sure to register using a valid email address.
