Good morning everyone,

I’m coming to you today because I truly value you-not only as followers of my little business, but as family and friends and I would love your help with a decision!

As many of you know, we recently sold our home and are currently living in a rental while our new home is being built.

Between the move, everything that comes along with building, and the unexpected loss of my sweet father-in-law, I haven’t had nearly as much time to focus on Simply Southern Creations as I normally would.

But today I need your opinions! 😊

I am completely torn between two cabinet colors for our new home, and I have to make a final decision ASAP!

If this were your kitchen, would YOU choose the natural wood look or the white cabinets?🤔

Today I had an unexpected helper appear… 😳

With all the packing, moving, and extra things happening around here, I just had to share because we all need our daily dose of humor! 🤣

So yesterday, I tossed an old fern into the trash can in the garage and thought nothing of it.

Fast forward to today… I walk out, open the trash can to throw something away, and out of NOWHERE this little lizard launches straight at me and lands ON MY CHEST! 🦎

Y’all… when I tell you I reacted… I REACTED- I ripped my shirt off, pulled my hair tie out, and started shaking my head like I was front row at a 1990’s hard rock concert 💃😂

Once I realized he wasn’t in my hair or down my shirt, I moved on to phase two… shaking my legs and removing my pants in the garage like I had completely lost my mind.

The good news is the garage door was closed… so no neighbors were traumatized by my little lizard encounter- the bad news is… I’m pretty sure I would have reacted the exact same way if the garage door had been open 🫣

Realizing I was no longer being attacked by this harmless little creature, I started looking around… and there he was, sitting calmly on a nearby box like nothing had happened!

Anyone who knows me knows a few years ago I would’ve been calling in a professional (or at least a neighbor ). But after a few moments of realizing I was okay, and he was okay, I pulled myself together, got dressed again, grabbed him by the tail, and escorted him right back outside where he belongs.

Today I learned that lizards can change colors as quickly as I can change clothes and never bring outside plants inside without a thorough inspection! 👀

And you already know that tomorrow, I’ll be applying Mama’s Blend to every muscle I pulled during that performance 😂💪
