My thoughts as a certified nutrition and behavior change psychology coach…
All-or-Nothing Is NOT the Way to Wellness
One “bad” meal doesn’t ruin your progress.
Missing one workout doesn’t mean you’ve failed.
Having a lazy day doesn’t erase all the healthy choices you’ve made.
But an all-or-nothing mindset can make you believe it does.
You eat something that wasn’t on your plan → “I blew it.”
You miss your workout → “I’ll start again Monday.”
You have a busy week → “I’m completely off track.”
And suddenly, one small choice turns into days—or weeks—of giving up.
But here’s a more powerful way to look at your journey:
You don’t need to do everything at once. You just need to start with one thing—and let it grow.
Instead of trying to change everything overnight, pick one small habit you can actually stick with.
Maybe it’s:
✅ Drinking more water
✅ Taking a 10-minute walk
✅ Adding one serving of vegetables
✅ Going to bed 30 minutes earlier
✅ Stretching for 5 minutes a day
That’s it. Just one.
Because when you focus on one thing, you build confidence.
And when you build confidence, you build consistency.
And when you build consistency, that one small habit naturally grows into more.
Instead of:
❌ “I have to fix everything right now.”
Try:
✅ “What is one thing I can start with today?”
Instead of:
❌ “If I can’t do it all, it doesn’t count.”
Try:
✅ “One small step is still progress.”
Instead of:
❌ “I’ll start over Monday.”
Try:
✅ “I’m starting with one thing right now.”
Progress isn’t about doing everything perfectly. It’s about starting small and growing from there.
Give yourself permission to begin simple. ❤️
One habit. One step. One win at a time.
Your next choice is always an opportunity to move forward—and grow
