As the smaller changes stack up, they become the foundation allowing any larger changes to be less stressful.

I started with socks. Bright, ridiculous socks that no one could see. And that was enough to start.

I was rated at the top.

This is why I built Healing Chaos. Nobody should have to fight this hard to be believed, especially not by themselves. supposed to notice, none of them ever said: 'Your brain works differently, and that's not a character flaw.'

And when my company made a mistake they didn't want to admit to, they moved me into a job I hated and left me there. No accountability. No conversation. No one in my corner.

But honestly?

That wasn't even the biggest way the system had failed me.

The bigger failure was the decades before that. The school systems, the workplaces, the doctors, the people who were supposed to notice, none of them ever said: 'Your brain works differently, and that's not a character flaw.'

They just kept handing me a blueprint that didn't fit and asking why I couldn't make it work.

You weren't asking too much.

The system was flawed.

The limitation was never yours. It was theirs.

And you don't have to keep paying for their failure to see you.

My body had been screaming at me for a long time before I finally listened.

I just didn't speak that language yet.

I turned the volume down so far, so many times, for so many years, that I stopped registering the signals at all.

Until the migraines came.

Then the brain fog. The kind where you're sitting at your desk and you can't make your eyes focus or remember what you were supposed to be doing three seconds ago.

Then I was falling asleep. Sitting upright. In the middle of a workday.

My body wasn't broken. It was done waiting for me to pay attention.

You've had that feeling. Maybe not migraines. Maybe it's the way you go completely flat after a full day of people. Maybe it's the unexplained stomachaches before things that should be fine. Maybe it's the way you need three days of nothing just to feel like a person again.

That wasn't you being dramatic.

That was your body flagging something before your brain had the language for it.

And the wildest part? You probably apologized for having it.

The "clear your mind" advice has kept a lot of people out of mindfulness who actually needed it most.
My practice looks like this. Markers. Color books. Chaotic little cat energy. No stillness required.
If you've ever thought mindfulness wasn't for you because you can't sit quietly and think about nothing, same. That's not what it has to be.

Gentle reminder that your morning affirmation does not have to be performed by your best self. My most effective sigil work has been done in full goblin mode, hunched over my coffee, glaring at everything. The grumpiness doesn't cancel the magic. It just makes it more feral. 🐸✨
