Gambling looks a lot different than it did five years ago. It's on the phone in your pocket, available around the clock, and easier to access than ever.
In Connecticut, that shift has come with real numbers: calls to the state's problem gambling helpline rose sharply in the first year after online sports betting became available, and 72% of CT undergrads say they gambled in the past year, with 8.3% now meeting criteria for serious problem gambling.
We are not here to tell anyone how to spend their time or money. We are here to make sure people know the signs to watch for, in themselves or someone they love, and that support exists if they need it.
