What you don’t see behind this photo… 🌈✨
A rainbow. Sparkling water. My instruments. A pretty magical moment.
But you also don’t see all the moments that came before it.
The nights I questioned whether embracing my Lao roots in my practice would be accepted. I’ve had to learn to trust that the parts of me that make this work uniquely mine don’t need to be hidden, they’re part of the magic.
The unlearning of “always more.” Coming from corporate culture, I was used to constantly pushing, producing, and being asked for more. Entrepreneurship has taught me that rest isn’t something I have to earn. I’m learning to give myself the same permission to pause that I create for others.
The reminder that meaningful things take time. Not everything has happened quickly or according to the timeline I imagined. I’m learning that slow growth is still growth.
The events I poured hours, energy, and heart into that didn’t sell the way I hoped. It’s humbling. But I’m learning not to measure the value of something solely by how many people show up.
And the ongoing lesson of boundaries. Learning when to say no, protect my energy, honor my capacity, and trust that doing less can sometimes allow me to give more of myself to what truly matters.
This photo may look like a beautiful, effortless moment.
And it was beautiful. ✨
But it wasn’t effortless.
There’s a lot of unseen work, uncertainty, courage, and growth behind the sparkle.
And maybe that’s one of the biggest things entrepreneurship has taught me:
You can build something meaningful without losing yourself in the process.
I’m still learning. Still growing. Still finding my way.
And honestly, I think that’s part of the magic. 🌈✨
