🚨 BREAKING NEWS: The CDC’s new Alpha-gal report is a major wake-up call.

A new MMWR study tested 3,000 blood donors across 10 states and found striking levels of alpha-gal IgE positivity in several areas—including 31.2% in Arkansas, 26.0% in Missouri, 22.8% in Virginia, 22.7% in Kentucky, and 21.5% in Tennessee.

Alpha-gal syndrome can develop after a tick bite and may cause delayed, potentially serious allergic reactions to mammal-derived foods and products. A positive alpha-gal IgE test does not automatically mean someone has Alpha-gal syndrome, but these findings show just how important tick-bite prevention and prompt tick removal truly are.
