To celebrate its 25th anniversary during National Volunteer Month, Ann Arbor Mayor Christopher Taylor issued a proclamation that April 20 is “Therapaws of Michigan Day.” The organization has operated for many years prior to 2001, but it officially became a nonprofit that year.

Go Blue! The University of Michigan Women's Basketball team invited therapy dogs to put them in a relaxed mood before heading to the NCAA Tournament's Sweet Sixteen game vs. Louisville. The women and staff appreciated seeing the dogs after their film study. Unfortunately, the dogs (and their handlers) weren't allowed to travel with them to Texas. Maybe next time.
