"Should I just get on Ozempic?"

It's the question almost every woman asks me now.

And if you're a woman who's already training consistently, eating pretty clean, and only has 5–15 stubborn pounds left to lose...

the answer might not be what you think.

For my wife, the answer was no.

Not because GLP-1s are bad.

Because they were designed to solve a different problem than the one she actually had.

Here's what most people get backwards:

They assume stubborn fat means they need a stronger fat-loss tool.

But sometimes stubborn fat isn't a fat-loss problem at all.

Sometimes it's a recovery problem.

An inflammation problem.

A gut problem.

A movement problem.

My wife wasn't trying to lose 50 pounds.

She was trying to lose the last 5–10.

The stubborn belly fat that wouldn't budge no matter how disciplined she was.

And that's exactly why a GLP-1 wasn't the right fit.

She wasn't struggling because she was eating too much.

She was already under-fueled.

Already not getting enough of the right nutrients to support recovery, muscle growth, and performance.

A GLP-1 would have pushed her to eat even less...

when eating enough was part of the solution.

And it wouldn't have addressed the things that were actually standing in her way.

The bloating after meals.

The gut issues.

The nagging hip and shoulder pain.

Because here's the chain reaction most people never see:

If your gut is inflamed, your body struggles to properly utilize the food you're eating.

If your joints hurt, you don't move well.

If you don't move well, you don't train well.

If you don't train well, you don't build lean muscle.

And without lean muscle, your body loses one of its greatest tools for long-term fat loss.

A GLP-1 doesn't fix that chain.

So under licensed medical supervision inside my Concierge Medical Wellness program, she chose a different approach: BPC-157, TB-500, GHK-Cu, KPV peptide stack.

Not an appetite-suppression strategy.

A support strategy.

The goal wasn't to force the scale down.

The goal was to address the bottlenecks preventing her body from responding to the work she was already doing.

Supporting gut health.

Calming inflammation.

Helping her hip and shoulder recover so she could move, train, and build muscle again.

Not replacing healthy habits.

Amplifying them.

Because she already had the foundation.

She trains consistently.

She prioritizes real food.

She protects her sleep like it's a full-time job.

(And trust me... waking her up early is a dangerous game lol.)

That's the lesson.

Medication is not the strategy.

It's a tool.

And the right tool depends entirely on the problem you're trying to solve.

Not every weight-loss problem is actually a weight-loss problem.

Sometimes the scale isn't stuck because you need more willpower.

Sometimes it's stuck because your body is waving a flag that something deeper needs attention.

And that's where most people get led in the wrong direction.

They focus on the symptom.

Instead of finding the bottleneck.

The women who make the best progress are usually the ones who stop asking,

"What's the fastest way to lose these last few pounds?"

and start asking,

"What's actually standing in the way of my body responding to all the things I'm already doing right?"

She did everything right.

And her body still wouldn't budge.

This one's personal. It's my wife.

Eating clean.
Training hard 5x a week.
Tracking every bite.

And still bloated.

Still inflamed.

Still fighting that stubborn belly fat that wouldn't move.

Still aching in her hips and joints after every session.

If you'd looked at her from the outside, you'd have said she was crushing it.

So I ran her labs.

And here's what most people never get told...

Her bloodwork wasn't "abnormal."

It was quietly off in the ways that matter, the ways a standard panel shrugs at but your body feels every single day.

When I looked at the full picture of her labs, the pattern became obvious.

She wasn't eating enough.

Not enough of the right food to fuel what she was asking her body to do.

And all those high intensity group classes at the local gym?

They were adding stress, not strength.

She wasn't broken.

She was chronically under-fueled and under-built.

Read that again, because it's the part nobody says out loud:

I see this pattern every week with women in their 30s, 40s and 50s.

They're eating less than ever.

Training harder than ever.

Trying to be more disciplined than ever.

And yet the scale won't move.

Their energy keeps dropping.

Their recovery gets worse.

Their body starts feeling like it's working against them.

Not because they're failing.

Because nobody has shown them how to work with the physiology they're living in now.

You can be disciplined, consistent, and "doing everything right"… and still be working against your own body the entire time.

So she FINALLY let me rebuild her structure.

(“David your right but I’ll never say that out loud lol”)

Real fuel, eating enough of the right food, on purpose.

Smart strength training instead of one more class that left her drained.

And inside my Concierge Medical Wellness program, we added targeted peptide support as part of her plan.

To help with her digestion
To help with her joint and hip pain
To help with her endurance and energy

….And protecting her lean muscle while the fat finally started to move.

Not a magic shot.

A tool inside my system.

Because the medication never works without the structure underneath it.

She's not white-knuckling anymore.

She's fueled.

She's stronger.

She's moving without the pain.

And the belly fat that wouldn't budge for the last year since we got married is finally responding.

Fat loss was the side effect.

Getting her body back was the outcome.

You haven't tried everything.

You've tried everything... in pieces.

I don't think the biggest regrets in life come from the mistakes you made.

I think they come from the moments you missed while you were busy building a life you thought mattered more.

This weekend I had my grandson with me.

And as much as I loved every second of it, something happened that caught me off guard.

Watching him play pulled me straight back into my own childhood.

Then back into raising my three kids.

And suddenly I wasn't just looking at my grandson anymore.

I was looking at all the moments I wish I could have back.

The bedtime stories I rushed through.

The conversations I was too distracted to have.

The days I was physically there but mentally somewhere else.

Some memories made me smile.

Others hit me like a punch to the chest.

Because when you slow down enough to really watch a child, you realize how quickly those years disappear.

And no amount of success, money, or busyness can buy those moments back.

That truth is hard to sit with.

But this weekend gave me something else too.

Perspective.

I can't change the father I was 18+ years ago.

But I can decide who I'm going to be today.

And maybe that's one of life's greatest gifts.

A second chance.

A chance to put the phone down.

A chance to clear the schedule.

A chance to choose presence over productivity.

A chance to stop treating the people you love like they'll always be there tomorrow.

I missed too much the first time around.

I'm not missing it again.

What if the reason you're stuck isn't a calorie problem?

What if it's a recovery problem?

Because if eating less was the answer...

You'd already be there.

You've counted the calories.
Done the cardio.
Pushed through more "clean weeks" than you can count.

And yet your body still isn't responding the way it should.

Most women assume they need more discipline.

But what if your body is struggling to respond to all the effort you're already putting in?

That's the conversation happening underneath the calories.

Recovery.
Inflammation.
Gut health.
Stress.

The things that don't show up in your calorie tracker but can impact how you feel, perform, and recover.

That's why I recorded a training on four peptides I sometimes explore as part of a broader wellness strategy.

Not as a shortcut, but as a way to support the systems behind the work.

Because these don't replace the work.

They protect it.

Your training.
Your nutrition.
Your sleep.

If you've ever felt like you're working harder than your results suggest you should be...

Most women are only hearing one side of the GLP-1 conversation.

The success stories.
The rapid changes.
The excitement around medical weight management medications.

But there’s another conversation that matters just as much:

How do you protect your long-term health while pursuing weight loss?

Because medications like GLP-1s can be powerful tools when used appropriately and under proper medical supervision.

But support matters.

So does nutrition.
So does strength training.
So does understanding how these medications fit into a sustainable long-term plan.

That’s why I recorded a new educational training for my private clients breaking down:

• How GLP-1 medications actually work

• Who may be a good candidate

• Why muscle and metabolic health matter during weight loss

• The role of resistance training and protein intake

• And the importance of having a physician-guided strategy from the beginning

I also put together a written education guide to help you better understand the process and ask better questions before making any decisions.

If you'd like the replay + the guide, comment “GUIDE” below or send me a DM.

Because informed decisions always start with education and proper medical oversight.

You haven’t tried everything.

You’ve tried everything… in pieces.

A trainer for your workouts. A doctor for your labs. An influencer for your peptides. A friend on Ozempic.

None of them are wrong. None of them are enough.

So I built the place where they all live together.

Foundation first. Medical second. Always in that order.

One coach. One system. One roof.

If you’re done managing your own health like a part-time job…

It’s 10:47 p.m. and she has five tabs open.

Reddit on perimenopause.
A podcast clip about testosterone in women.

Her labs from eighteen months ago.
Another cortisol reel she didn’t ask to see.

She is forty-six years old.

She is the smartest person in most rooms she walks into.

She has solved problems that grown men in suits couldn’t solve.

And she is lying in bed at almost eleven o’clock at night trying to figure out why she no longer feels like herself in her own body.

She is doing everything right.

She tracks her macros.
She lifts four days a week.
She walks.
She does Peloton.
She gets bloodwork.
She takes the supplements.
She drinks the water.

And somehow, none of it is translating into feeling better.

The belly still feels unfamiliar.
She wakes up at 3 a.m. drenched.
She forgets words mid-sentence.
She snapped at her assistant on Tuesday and apologized on Wednesday.

She used to feel steady. Sharp. Unflappable.

She went to her doctor.

Her labs were “normal.”

Her TSH was technically in range.
Her vitamin D was technically in range.
Her testosterone was technically in range.

And yet the way she feels every day tells a very different story.

She left that appointment in tears.

She has been told it’s just aging.
That she should meditate more.
That maybe she should lose a little weight.

That’s the cruelest part.

The woman being told to “try harder” has already been trying harder than everyone else for thirty years.

Here’s what I want her to hear:

You haven’t tried everything.

You’ve tried everything in pieces.

A trainer telling you to push harder.

A gynecologist telling you your labs are fine.

An influencer talking about peptides.

A friend recommending Ozempic.

A functional medicine clinic that ran dozens of tests but never gave you a real strategy.

None of those pieces are necessarily wrong.

But none of them are the full picture.

What most women actually need is coordinated care.

One lens.
One strategy.
One plan built around the reality of what’s happening physiologically, hormonally, metabolically, and emotionally.

That means:

→ Labs interpreted in context, not dismissed because they technically fall inside a reference range

→ Hormone conversations that account for symptoms, patterns, and quality of life, not just whether you’re “still cycling”

→ Training designed for the body you have now, not the one you had twenty years ago

→ Nutrition built around recovery, stress, hormones, and real metabolic data, not punishment

→ And when appropriate, medically supervised tools like HRT, GLP-1s, or prescription peptides integrated thoughtfully into a larger plan

Under one roof. With one coach.

So you can stop being the project manager of your own health.

And the promise isn’t just weight loss.

The promise is that one day you’ll close every tab on your phone because the question that’s been keeping you up at night finally has an answer.

You don’t need to have the whole plan figured out tonight.

If this feels like your story, DM me “NEXT STEP.”

Tell me where you are now and where you want to be 16 weeks from now.

I’ll take it from there.

05/21/2026

The 10 pounds isn’t the real problem.

I had a discovery call yesterday with a mom who’s been losing and gaining the same 10 pounds for years.

She’s worked with a trainer.
She’s done small group classes.
She showed up consistently.
Got results.

Then tried to maintain it on her own and watched everything slowly slip back.

And then she said this:

“Before, I could just go to the gym and work out and everything was fine.

But this feels more internal than external.

I don't have the energy to even get up and do those things.

It really shouldn't be that hard.”

Read that again.

That’s the part most people miss.

She’s done the workouts.
Tracked the food.
Tried the supplements she found online.

Her doctor ran one thyroid panel a year ago, told her everything was “in range,” and sent her home.

But in range isn’t always optimal.

And nobody was looking at why her body stopped responding the way it used to.

That’s the gap I work in.

☑️ Strength training that actually moves the needle.

☑️ Nutrition that fits a mom’s real life.

☑️ Blood work and gut testing that show us what’s actually happening inside.

And when the labs show her body needs more support, we use targeted peptides and protocols to help address the root issue….

not just chase symptoms.

Because if your hormones, thyroid, gut, and recovery are off, you can do everything “right” and still feel like your body is fighting you.

You’re not failing.
Your body is asking for a different approach.

If you’ve been told your labs are “fine” but you still don’t feel like yourself….

or

You’ve never had deeper testing done at all. Comment “LABS” and I’ll help you figure out what could be getting missed.
