I had the honor of closing a mamas bones that had been open for six months. Six+ months she walked with an energetic portal open from her journey to the underworld terrain of labor and birth. Six+ months she walked with her physical bones open from her pelvis widening to make way for her baby to be born. Manyyyy women walk around with both of these portals open for the rest of their lives after birth. In traditional cultures around the world, there are practices and ceremonies in place to help a mother come back to her body post birth. In this ceremony, we are remembering what’s been forgotten in this modern world. Closing the bones of a Mother. Honoring her and her body for the work that it takes to become a mother. Witnessing her in this experience. TRULY seeing her in her becoming. No matter where you are in your postpartum, 6 weeks or 6+ years, this practice can and should be done for you and every mother. What would change for mothers if we all were honored and witnessed in this way? I offer this service in my postpartum packages or individually for woman who crave this closing long after they gave birth 💗🌀

Babies aren’t food or packages, they’re humans. A doctor or midwife does not deliver them, their mother BIRTHS them. We need to stop with the damaging language that once again removes women from their power and puts it in someone else’s hands. Being a birthing woman deserves so much more honor than one receives. This language is hurtful to our culture and humanity. If we view women as incapable of doing the one thing that we are biologically created to do: grow, sustain and then BIRTH LIFE, we ingrain in women that they are not capable or worthy of their power. Change the language 👏 let’s teach our daughters better.

This offering is something I wish I had when my babies were younger. My son dealt with reflux, discomfort, restless sleep, the list goes on… we never got any answers. No professionals were able to help us. This is a common story I hear working with moms. Many babies are left untreated or are diagnosed with something like tongue ties etc, but what if all they need/ed was loving touch? If this sounds like your baby or you want to gain greater knowledge on this topic, then this workshop is for you!

Together, Lena Yavorski- LMT - Craniosacral Therapist - Infant bodyworker will guide us through hands on work that you can take with you far beyond this class.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Please reach out with any questions!

and I are thrilled to offer this to you 💗

Babies don’t need all of that stuff when they have a mama who is supported enough to make it through the challenges of early motherhood. She needs people to support her through her own healing, to help process the transformative process of birth, to walk with her through the challenges of breastfeeding. The list goes on and on.. our culture is constantly pushing more junk towards moms… “this stroller is best and make sure you get this paci” etc… but really we are designed to wear our babies.. to be the ones who are their pacifiers and comforters… BUT mothers can only do this if they are supported, nourished and in return THRIVING. This isn’t meant to shame mothers in any way. It’s meant to show the very real disconnect we have within our society. Sending love to all the mamas out there whether you had this experience or not. Let’s start talking about it so we can change it 👏 💗

Hello lovely woman! Welcome to Mama Bearth. If you’ve been here for a while you might know me as Mindful Mama Birth. Nothing has changed except for the name. As I dive deeper into my relationship with the plants and with the earth it felt fitting to make this shift. In a world of AI “art” and images I offer you this beautiful picture my dear cousin drew for me. Here I’ll continue to tend to and support thriving life through caring for mothers and babies. Thanks for being here 🙏🌎🤰💗

I’ll set the scene… you just had a baby… your postpartum doula comes over and makes you a hot meal and an herbal infusion with specific herbs and ingredients aimed to aid your recovery. She makes you an herbal bath, again with herbs specific to healing. Then sets the mood so you can unwind and land back into your body after you just traveled to another dimension to BIRTH AN ENTIRE HUMAN. This isn’t luxury, this should be bare minimum 🙌 honor the mother - honor the process

Belly binding is an ancient postpartum tradition from numerous cultures around the world. There are different names for this beautiful process, but the essence remains the same in all cultures. Traditionally the elder women in the family or community would carry out this process, but in our culture it is usually performed by a doula, or anyone dedicated to honoring the early postpartum for mom.

The purpose of binding is not just to help the physical body, but to offer gentle healing to the energetic and spiritual body as well. Birth is a portal, and many women often feel very open energetically after birth. This can assist in the closing of the energetic field and help women emotionally to feel more contained and held. Physically, binding can support the abdominal muscles and organs as they shift back post birth. It reduces the risk of diastasis recti, which is a common problem for women that can last years after having a baby. This is a short list of the numerous benefits that binding gives you.

Something important to note about binding is that bodywork should always come before it. Abhyanaga - a warm oil massage - should be performed over the body first. You can add a warm herbal bath next (or skip this) and then proceed with the binding. I like to speak words of gratitude over mom and her womb as I’m preparing her body for the bind as well.

There are many different ways to bind, but what you see in the photo is bengkung belly binding which originates from Malaysia. I always want to pay homage to the lineage of these ancient practices.
