5 years ago, Rise was Nicole and Jay. Today it's 3 doctors and a dietitian who all work together to support each person in our practice.

Most people who come in have already tried a lot. Deep tissue massage, boutique fitness classes, supplements, a few rushed PT or chiro visits. Each one helped a little. None of them knew what the others were doing, so you ended up being the one connecting the dots.

That's the gap we built Rise around. When you come in for neck tension or a stiff shoulder, we spend time getting to know you. We ask deeper questions that you might feel is totally unrelated to the symptoms you're experiencing. But we want to understand not just what your symptoms are telling us in your body, but how your work enviornment, your posture, your life demands all contribute to what you're feeling.

We set it up this way because we wanted care that actually fits into your life. And that means understanding what your life actually looks like so the advice and treatment we provide to you is truly practical. Wellness cannot happen in perfect conditions. It fits inbetween the moments of real life and that is what makes it sustainable.

So the tight shoulder gets looked at next to what might be feeding it, like sleep, stress, what you're eating, and how you're training.

One thing that helps wherever you go: bring a short list of what you've tried and what each one did. It's the fastest way for anyone treating you to see the pattern.

If you'd like to meet us before booking anything, schedule a discovery call through the link in our bio.

We hear this one in the office all the time: "I was getting deep tissue massage every few weeks, and it helped, kind of."

That "kind of" usually means the muscles are guarding a joint that isn't moving well. Massage calms them down, and the joint underneath gives them a reason to tighten right back up.

One thing to try this week: after your next massage, notice which day the tightness comes back and exactly where. That pattern tells you a lot, and it tells whoever is treating you even more.

At Rise, we co-manage with massage therapists instead of asking you to pick one. An evaluation looks at how the joint is moving, how the muscles around it are carrying load, and what else is feeding the pattern, like sleep, stress, and how you train. Then everyone works from one plan, so the relief has something to hold onto.

Nothing is wrong with you. You just need more than one piece.

When you're ready, book an evaluation through the link in our bio.

This one is for everyone who has been coming to Rise for a while.

The Extended Follow Up Visit gives us room to do deeper soft tissue work, like muscle scraping, and your adjustment in the same visit. It's the one we reach for when an area keeps coming back no matter what you try at home.

Ask us about it at your next visit. We are happy to talk through whether it's a fit.

Earlier this week, all three of our doctors sat down with one topic on the table: perimenopause.

We spent the last two weeks studying the same material. Not to treat menopause, because that is not ours, but to get better at the questions.

What should we be asking that we have not been? When does sleep need to come first? Who should we be sending you to for the parts that are not ours?

Because you are not going to walk in and tell us your estrogen is dropping. You are going to walk in with a shoulder. We want to be the office that asks the next question.

Our Perimenopause blog post breaks down the symptoms we keep seeing and what we look at. You can find it at the link in our bio.

Five symptoms, five different providers, and nobody has ever said them out loud in the same sentence. That is the part we would like to change.

A shoulder that locked up in your forties with nothing to blame it on is often connected to more than the shoulder. We will absolutely take care of it. We are also going to ask about the rest.

Being known by one provider is nice. Being known by the whole team is what makes care actually add up.

With multiple doctors and nutrition working from one plan, you never have to fill everybody in. You just pick up where you left off.

If that sounds like the care you've been looking for, book an evaluation through the link in our bio.

We’ll tell you if we’re not the right fit for you.

Most of the time we can help, and every so often we can’t, and we’d much rather find that out at four weeks than let it run for four months while the visits stack up. What it sounds like is us telling you that based on what you’ve written down and where your findings are, we don’t think we’re the best office for this, and then helping you figure out where to look instead.

There’s a day one version of it too, because we’re trained to recognize what isn’t ours to treat, and if something isn’t safe for chiropractic care we’ll refer you out.

If you’re still deciding whether any of this is worth trying, that’s probably the part worth knowing. You’ll get an honest answer either way, and you won’t be left guessing on your own about whether it’s doing anything.

Starting with a discovery call is free, and is the easiest place to find out if we’re the right fit for you. Link in bio to book.

Our favorite part of the reassessment form isn't any of the pain questions, it's the one asking where else you noticed change in your body.

Getting out of pain is SUPER Cool. But seeing how your care carries over into your life is even more impactful. And that’s truly why we keep doing what we’re doing!

The reassessment is one of our favorite parts of the job, and it's also the part that we rarely talk about.

Sometimes our patients feel like it's a test they might fail.

It really isn't, and half the time the most interesting thing about this visit is something nobody was even looking for.

It’s a time to deeply catch up, measure your progress and notice what’s getting better that you didn’t even notice.

We celebrate wins all the time in our office, but reassessments allow us the time to truly pause and reflect on how far you've come!

If you don’t want your neck cracked, you can say so here and it isn’t a thing.

We’re not going to try to talk you into it and we’re not going to make it uncomfortable, because there’s no version of this where you have to hand over a part of your body you’re not comfortable handing over. You can say it at your first visit, or on the table, or four visits in when something that was fine before stops feeling fine.

What we will do is be honest with you. If we think that tissue is part of why your head is pounding by 3 in the afternoon, we’re going to say so, and we’ll tell you what we think it needs. But needing attention and needing to be cracked aren’t the same thing, so we’ll walk you through the ways to get to the same place, and there are a lot of them. Instrument work and cupping and fascia release all get at that tissue without anybody popping anything.

And we don’t have to do any of it today either. Go home and think about it.

There really are a million ways to get adjusted, and popping is just one of them.

If that’s been the reason you’ve kept putting this off, a discovery call with our team is a good place to ask about it. Link in bio.
