[email protected] Tracheal stenosis is considered the narrowing of the trachea or windpipe, typically due to scar tissue.

Stenosis refers to the circumferential narrowing. Subglottic stenosis refers to the portion of the trachea directly below the vocal cords. The subglottis is the gateway to the trachea (windpipe).
