Yesterday reminded me
why I love making connections.
Spending time with new friends.
A volunteer and I went to visit
a few of our patients at an
Assisted Living facility.
We came across a group of
magnificent ladies in the common area.
So we sat down and joined the conversation.
We laughed until we cried.
We listened to stories
and shared some of our own.
They shared their feelings.
Happy and sad.
We listened.
We now have a new friend we will be visiting once a week.
Never underestimate the power of a smile.
A listening ear.
Giving a little of your time.
It will put a smile on everyone’s face ❤️
