Today’s harvest included:
🥒 Cucumbers
🥬 Greens
💜 Lavender
🌻 Flowers
🍑 Rescued peach
🍑 Rescued nectarine

The fruits of my labor aren’t just what fills the basket.

It’s a whole lot of community.

Because somebody harvested.

Somebody noticed.

Somebody spoke up.

Somebody shared.

Somebody composted.

They’re the relationships, lessons, and community grown along the way.

Every harvest is a reminder that what we nurture today becomes nourishment tomorrow.

🌱 Grow.
🌿 Gather.
🧺 Give Thanks.

Sharing is Caring

Here I’m harvesting a bundle of my garlic chives to share with a couple of volunteers.
To use as seasoning, can be used fresh, can be used dried, can be transformed into powder..

🌻FROM SEED TO SANCTUARY

Last night, wasn’t about lemonade.

It began months ago with lavender growing in the garden.

The lavender became a harvest.

The harvest became dried flowers.

The flowers became lemonade.

The lemon peels became citrus cleaner.

The seeds became today’s garden.

Nothing wasted. Everything transformed.

That’s the lesson nature teaches me over and over again.

From Seed to Sanctuary isn’t just something I teach.

It’s how I live.

Harvesting from my favorite produce markets 🌿🏡

My backyard garden and the community garden have become sacred spaces of nourishment, grounding, and gratitude. There’s something powerful about growing your own food, harvesting it with your own hands, and preparing meals filled with intention and love.

Tonight’s salad featured kale, romaine, rainbow Swiss chard, parsley, arugula, and strawberries from my gardens 🍓🥬

Topped with boiled egg, blueberries, chia seeds, nutritional yeast, and drizzled with my homemade infused dressing made with:
✨ chive flowers
✨ lemon juice
✨ evoo
✨ dried oregano
✨ puréed strawberries

Food is more than fuel.
It is connection.
It is healing.
It is sanctuary.

🌿 MULBERRY SEASON 🌿
Nature really be providing… for FREE. 👀✨

While visiting a friend today I looked down and saw the sidewalk covered in ripe mulberries. Of course I had to stop, observe, capture the moment, and appreciate the abundance. 🫶🏾

Mulberries are one of those overlooked fruits that many people walk right past — but they are packed with goodness.

✨ Benefits of Mulberries:
• Rich in Vitamin C
• High in iron & antioxidants
• Supports immune health
• Contains fiber for digestion
• Supports heart health
• Hydrating & naturally sweet
• A beautiful wild food source growing right in our communities

Ways I’ve personally enjoyed them:
🍇 Fresh off the tree
🥤 Blended into smoothies
🥗 Tossed into salads
🍶 Mixed into infused vinegar for homemade salad dressing
🫖 Can also be dried for tea or used in jams, syrups, & desserts

Moments like this remind me why I love gardening, plant medicine, and slowing down enough to notice what’s already around us. 🌱

Sometimes the Earth is literally dropping nourishment at our feet… and most people never notice.

Sometimes community work looks like loading your car to the brim with plant babies before 9 AM 🌱🚙💚

Our Spring Bloom Workshop may not have gone exactly as planned communication-wise, but the people who came showed up with open hands and open hearts 🌸

We planted together, created take-home planters, shared extra plants, picked strawberries 🍓 and spent time in community.

That’s what mattered most.

Thankful for everyone who came, helped, supported, photographed, volunteered, and poured into the space 🌿
