One of the most exciting things about early spring! I begin looking for their return as soon as the snow melts.....my trusty old perennial herbs. Some were expected, but a few types that I had just newly planted last year made a comeback!

It may still look dull and lifeless outside, but we are bursting with new life in the greenhouse! So far we have quite a few eggplant, pepper, kale, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, celery, onion, beet, and tomato starts!

Ahhhhh......now don't look out your window! Just look at this picture....hear the distant thunder rolling, as you sense a relief from all the heat soon....feel the shift in the air that comes with an approaching storm, the soft gentle breeze that carries the scent of sweet blooms....the breeze begins to twist and turn, as you feel the first few drops of rain.....ahhhhh....summer!!!!

Years ago, the seed catalogs didn't start to arrive in the mail till the doldrums of winter hit....just what you needed to get you through the rest of winter! But lately, they have been arriving before Christmas. Aren't quite ready to just sit around and look at these for days, but we couldn't help ourselves. :) There are some interesting new tomato varieties to try!

Finally made some apple jelly!!! It's delicious!
