We often feel helpless around grief and death — unsure what to say, afraid of saying the wrong thing.

But those with experience tell us the same thing: what people need most isn't perfect words. It's someone willing to sit with them in the hard moments and truly listen.

Honest listening. No agenda. No rush. No fixing.

It's one of the most human things we can offer each other. 🕯️

Great conversations about Quality of Life and the questions to ask your provider when diagnosed with chronic or potentially life limiting illness at Minoa Library last evening.
We also spent some time on
Palliative/Hospice/Comfort Care and
ways an elder/end of life doula can support you on this continuum of care.

Quality of Life, Aging Well, Peace of Mind Planning sessions for May/June are filling up.

We are back to our regular 2nd Wednesday day slot on June 10th at 11 where I will share more about Doulagivers 9 Choices document.

End of Life Doulagivers work is not all about sitting vigil. Ideally, the relationship starts much sooner and is nurtured over many years before your end of life experience.

You don’t have to wait until everything feels too heavy to carry. 💜

Caregiving is beautiful—but it’s also exhausting, emotional, and overwhelming at times. If you’re feeling it, you’re not alone… and you don’t have to push through on your own.

⚠️ Feeling overwhelmed every day
⚠️ Noticing your own health slipping
⚠️ Carrying resentment, guilt, or hopelessness

These are signs it’s time for support—not signs of failure.

At Living with Dementia CNY, we’re here before you reach your breaking point. Through support groups, resources, and community, we help you feel seen, supported, and less alone.

You deserve support too. 💜
